Sorry this update is running a little late, January really got away from me. Here's where we're at!
We lost a bit of time during the holidays unfortunately. So we're going to miss our Q1 deadline. However, we've made good progress and we have just approved the "wet proofs" or "press proofs." These proofs are on the final ink and paper that are being used and they look gorgeous. With these proofs we're able to check for readability and color issues primarily, to make sure the text and illustrations pop and read as clearly on the page as they do on the screen.
We've approved the proofs and now printing will finalize. Once that's done we'll be sent an "F&G proof" or "folded & gathered proof," of the final book by around March 18. Hardcover books are made of "signatures" basically a group of pages that are bound together like a magazine. You then bind all the signatures together and that's your book. The F&G proof is a copy of the book without covers or binding, rather its simpled folded and gathered. We get each of the signatures collated together as they appear, but they have no binding (they're just folded in half) and they haven't been trimmed either. Once those are approved all the pages will be bound and we'll get an advance copy around April 6. We'll approve those and the books should be ready to freight to the warehouses by April 13.
It's not what we had hoped, and I'm sure it wasn't what you all were looking forward to either. But these books look incredible. Additionally, we have the new remediated PDF export of Wages of Sin for you, with better searching and hyperlinking, done by the incredible Dai Shugars.
Also, I was hoping to have this out tonight, but it looks like it'll be tomorrow next week (miscommunication between me and Dai, it should be ready next week) as the PDF remediation wraps up on MEGADAMAGE 01. This one has been a long time in the making. It's got short fiction, articles, interviews, comics, and even some gaming content. We know that your shelves often get filled with adventures and games you don't get a chance to play. We wanted to make something that would feed your brain as a Warden without really demanding anything in return. We hope you like it, we've got a lot more in store for MEGADAMAGE 02. And finally, the Supply Pod stickers, card packs, pins and patches are all in production and wrapping shortly.
