We’re currently deep in production for The Exorcist’s Codex. But while the world of The Exorcist’s Codex is haunted by demons, the real world is being haunted by… tariffs.
As you all know, the U.S. government recently announced massive tariff increases on products from China — currently as high as 125%. This decision affects many indie publishers like us who rely on high-quality, affordable printing overseas.
We’re monitoring the situation closely and exploring all our options, as it could affect both our fulfilment costs and timeline. We may need to relocate production, change fulfilment partners, or reroute shipping entirely. At this point, we don’t know how it will play out — and depending on where we end up shipping from, this could affect taxes, VAT, or import duties based on your country of residence.
That said, we want to be absolutely clear: we’ll never ask you to pay more for your pledge, even if our production costs increase substantially. You’ve paid what you pledged — and that’s final.
But now…Let’s talk about what you unlocked!

The campaign is now complete, and all our focus turns to finalizing the books. Here's what comes next:
Payment processing continues until April 8. Note: Shipping will be charged later, closer to the fulfillment stage!
Backers who pledged over $150 can continue using the “Pay Over Time” option until July 25.
After that, production and fulfillment preparation will continue through the summer, with shipping estimated to begin in September.

But who are Two Starving Gnolls (TSG), the company behind this campaign? Jarle and Even are the founders of TSG, lifelong friends who discovered gaming together. Starting in the the mid-80s, we began playing D&D, AD&D, board games like Shogun and Axis & Allies, and gaming on classic computers like the Commodore 64 and the Amiga.
Our creativity started young—crafting RPG worlds, composing music, and making primitive games. Over the years, we explored countless RPGs, from Twilight: 2000 and MERP to Cyberpunk. In the early 90s, we embraced Call of Cthulhu, which shaped our love for atmospheric storytelling.
When it comes to The Exorcist’s Codex, this campaign is just the beginning! With the Core Rulebook and GM’s Guide fully funded and set for delivery later this year, we’re already looking ahead to expansions, sourcebooks, and appendices.
