The designs in this campaign are inspired by some of my favorite aesthetics and monsters. I have already self-funded a few pins from this series, which you can view below.
Backerkit will not charge you unless the campaign reaches its funding goal.
You can change your pledge amount at any time before the campaign ends.
Surveys will be sent out once the campaign has completed so you can pick which designs you would like.
You will receive updates on production and fulfillment as they progress, through your Backerkit email or the Community tab on the campaign page.

Pledge Level Discounts
Please note that the pledge levels for four pins and above are discounted, and have access to discounted pin addons as well. The discount will not be applied retroactively if you purchase pin addons, you must switch pledge levels; but you will be able to switch pledge levels in the survey if you change your mind later.

These pins will only be available to backers who pledge for both campaigns, so be sure to pledge if you want them!
If you qualify for the free Dark Watcher pin, it will be added to your survey post-campaign (likewise for the Neon Devil pin in the Cryptid Crushes campaign).
Each pledge will include a Nightmare Portrait sticker, and a postcard print featuring artist credits on the back. The print will correspond to the set of monsters with the most orders. Returning backers will get a Vampire Mordecai sticker; early bird backers, who pledge in the first 48 hours of the campaign, will receive a Selkie Constance sticker.
Uncover the extraordinary with Oddities & Obscura — a collaboration of pin campaigns featuring mythical, paranormal, and supernatural creatures of all forms. Projects will run from March 18 to April 3.
Freebie Cross-Collaboration Pins — each Oddities & Obscura creator has paired up with a fellow participant to create two unique pin designs together. If both projects reach their initial funding goal, backers who support both will get a pair of freebie cross-collab pins, one from each creator.

Here are the details for the Oddities & Obscura freebie from my campaign:
Each pin is part of a set within the collection that is themed after a different aesthetic, and will feature matching colors and plating.
Here are the new pin designs and details.
Pins will be hard enamel except where noted otherwise.
Pins come with backing cards and rubber clutches.
The Victorian Monsters set will be funded at $3000. These pins will have black nickel plating. The Rococo Monsters set will be funded at $6000.These pins will have rose gold plating.
The Monastic Monsters set will be funded at $9000. These pins will have black nickel plating. The Cyberpunk Monsters set will be funded at $12K. These pins will have soft enamel and epoxy, with dark blue chrome plating. The Medieval Monsters set will be funded at $15K. These pins will have black nickel plating.
Our next goal at $17K is to fund some previous monster pins, the Cowboy Monsters, in a Gothic Western colorway. These pins will have black nickel plating. At $19K we will fund recolors of even more previous monster pins, the Film Noir Monsters, reimagined in new colors as Neonoir Monsters. These pins will have hard enamel with dark blue chrome plating. I will be using a different manufacturer for these pins, the backing cards for these pins may differ from the other pins.
At $20K, the original colorways of the Cowboy and Film Noir Monsters will be made available to pledge for. The original Cowboy Monsters have copper plating; while the original Film Noir Monsters have black nickel plating. I will be using a different manufacturer for the Film Noir Monsters pins, the backing cards for these pins may differ from the other pins.
At $23K, alternate designs of the Dark Watcher pin will be made available, and cross-collab backers will be able to pick from three designs. These pins will be available in black nickel plating with hard enamel; or rainbow plating with soft enamel and epoxy. Please note that rainbow plating varies from pin to pin, and colors may differ from this mockup.
There's one more pin that will be added to the campaign: a monster design based on backer input! You'll notice three community posts: theme, monster, and twist.
Theme: you can cast your votes by "liking" the themes commented on the post, or if you have an idea for a new theme you can comment that. The theme with the most likes will be selected.
Monster: I've pitched a few ideas in the comments but just like with Theme, you can comment if you have your own idea and the most-liked monster idea will be selected.
Twist: An optional twist on the design! This can be anything, such as the monster's occupation, an idea for an accessory, etc.
The winning ideas will be selected about 48 hours after the campaign launches, so be sure to comment and vote before then.
This pin will be available immediately to pledge for, but if we reach $25K in funding it will be made available as a freebie pin for backers who pledge for ten or more pins.
At $30K we will fund an additional community pin design, based on the second most popular community ideas.
At $35K, the following designs will be made available to pledge for. Please note the artwork and pin details are not finalized and are subject to change. You can vote in this pollon which additional designs to add if we exceed our funding by the end of the campaign.

An alternate gray version of the Nightmare Portrait pin is available as an addon. If you are receiving the exclusive red version of this pin, you'll have an option to sway to gray in the survey. The following sticker designs are available:
Rewards will ship via USPS with tracking. Be sure to check your address is correct, replacements or refunds will not be given if you provide the wrong shipping address.
Shipping will be charged after the campaign, when items are ready to ship. Please note that the pledge amount during the campaign does not include shipping cost.
Once items ship, they will take about 1-2 weeks to arrive for domestic (US) backers, and 4-6 weeks for international backers.
Noticefor international backers: Backers are responsible for any customs fees or taxes that may be placed on international orders. No refunds or replacements will be given if your package is lost or returned to sender as a result of not paying these fees. International mail service has been suspended for some countries. Backers are responsible for confirming if service is suspended. If I am unable to ship to you I will refund your pledge, minus any fees and taxes.
I have added new reduced shipping rates for international destinations! These rates are lower than in my shops or previous campaigns; however they do not include insurance and shipping time may be extended by 1-4 weeks. If you prefer the previous shipping method, an upgrade will be available in the post-campaign survey/preorder store to switch to that instead.

Once the campaign ends, surveys will be sent out for backers to choose their pins and other goodies. These surveys will be sent to your Backerkit email, so please make sure you are able to access that email. We will be using Backerkit to coordinate rewards.
Using Backerkit, you can add to your pledge if there are additional campaign items you'd like; or preorder pins if you missed the campaign. However, it's best to pledge for them during the campaign to help unlock goals.
Once pins are in-hand and ready to ship, backers will receive photos of the pins and will be allowed to make changes to their survey if desired. If there are an insufficient number of pins or other items to accommodate these changes, you may receive a B-grade pin, be asked to select a different item, or have your pledge delayed several months while more are manufactured. At this time, campaign backers and preorder backers will be charged for any addons via Backerkit. Please see the Timeline section for an estimate of when pins will ship.
How the Survey Works
The first part consists of survey questions: where you answer survey questions depending on your pledge level. In this example I have pledged for one pin and I select it from the available options in the dropdown menu. Only the designs shown on the campaign page will be available from this menu. If I pledged for two pins, I’d answer two questions with a selection, and so on.

The second part is the survey addons: where you can select your addons and purchase additional merch. It is in this section that other designs will be up for preorder, depending on order quantity.
Missed the campaign?
Once the campaign has ended, a Backerkit preorder store will be opened for a limited time. To track the campaign progress, preorder backers are recommended to keep an eye on the campaign page to see what updates are being posted; or subscribe to my social media to see previews of the items when I have received them.
Once pins are in-hand and ready to ship, preorder backers will be charged for any addons via Backerkit. Please see the Timeline section for an estimate of when pins will ship.
Once the preorder store closes, you will need to wait until post-campaign leftovers are available.
After backers have received their rewards, any leftovers of my design will be made available in my shops, but at a higher price. International shipping to most destinations is available through my Etsy shop.
⭐ I have a problem! How can I contact you? If you have any issues with your survey or other urgent concerns: please contact Backerkit support. Backerkit support will forward your message to my email. Do not message me on my shops, social media, or comment on the campaign page - if you do that I may miss your message or lose track of it (feel free to comment for any non-urgent issues of course).
Will you add any more pledge tiers? No. If you want to add more pins to your pledge you can add them via the Addons menu - make sure to get the discounted addon if you pledge for four or more pins.
What are the "preorder pins"? You can check the previous update for a few sketches. I haven't finalized all these designs but to summarize they will be fanart pins plus a few original designs that did not fit with the campaign theme: including the rest of my Astrological and Zodiac putti, and Pride Angels variants. If there's sufficient interest I'll plan to add some of the designs to the campaign as stretch goals.
Can I include items from your shops with my order? For ease of fulfillment I am not offering shop item bundling for this campaign.
My situation changed and I need a refund. If the campaign funding period is still in progress, you can cancel your pledge. If the campaign has ended, you have 14 days from the campaign end date to request a full refund. After this time no refunds will be given - this includes if you make duplicate orders, accidentally order addons, or make other mistakes with your survey! Please check your survey carefully. The only exception is if I am unable to ship to you, and this refund will be minus any Backerkit fees and taxes.
Can I change my survey selections? Yes, surveys will be unlocked right before the pins ship to backers, so you can make any last-minute changes. If you change your selections at this time, and there are an insufficient number of pins to cover your selections, you may receive a B-grade pin, be asked to select a different pin, or have your pledge delayed by several months while more pins are made.
When will you charge cards for pledges and addons? You can expect charges when the campaign ends, and right before pins ship to backers for shipping and addons. Please also expect a charge for shipping shortly before pledges are shipped.
Will backers get a coupon for extras? Yes, backers will get a coupon for campaign extras in my shop. However I cannot guarantee leftovers will be available of all items, to guarantee getting an item it's best to pledge during the campaign.

How do I qualify for cross collab incentive with Cryptid Crushes? If you back my campaign and the Cryptid Crushes campaign before both campaigns end, then you will qualify for our special cross-collab incentives.
Will I be charged for preorder items that don't reach their funding goal? No, any preorder items that do not reach their funding goal will be removed and you will not be charged for them.
I missed the campaign and preorder store, can I still get the items? Yes, any leftovers will be made available in my shop after campaign fulfillment is complete, but no guarantees there will be leftovers of everything.
What can I do if I provided the wrong address? If it's before addresses are locked, you can change it by accessing your survey. If it's after addresses have been locked, please reach out to USPS directly - no replacements or refunds will be given if you input the wrong address.
Can I get the exclusive pins without participating in cross-collab backing? Not individually, but sometime in the future I plan to release all past and present exclusive pins in sets. This includes the Nightmare Portrait and Dark Watcher pins. Hopefully this a good compromise between maintaining exclusivity and giving those who miss out a chance at these pins.
Manufacturing times are approximate and delays are possible. Backers will be notified if there are any unexpected delays, updates, or other issues.
Design changes may be made depending on pin design. This may include adjustments to colors and linework. I will do my best to produce pins that match these designs as closely as possible. Differences between the final items and the mockups are to be expected.
I will be using USPS to ship backer rewards. International mail service has been suspended for some countries. Backers are responsible for confirming if service is suspended. Backers are responsible for any customs fees. Refunds/replacements will not be provided if a package is rejected by customs and lost, as a result of failure to pay these fees.
