Project FAQ
Since the initial estimates, global shipping and logistics costs have changed significantly. Several major factors have contributed: Increased tariffs and trade pressures affecting international goods movement Rising fuel and energy costs impacting courier pricing Ongoing global economic instability affecting supply chains Regional conflicts influencing transport routes and costs These are not isolated changes — they affect the entire logistics industry, and shipping prices have adjusted accordingly across the board.
When the project was first planned (over 12–18 months ago), all costs — including shipping — were based on early-stage projections. At that point, we did not yet have final manufacturing timelines, fulfilment partners, or confirmed global shipping rates. In crowdfunding, it is standard practice to provide estimated shipping costs upfront, with final amounts confirmed later in the pledge manager once all variables are locked.
Since the project was originally planned (over 12–18 months ago), global economic conditions have shifted significantly. Inflation has risen sharply across key areas that directly impact fulfilment, including: Fuel and transportation Materials and packaging Labour and operational costs These increases have accelerated even further in the past 6 months, affecting the entire logistics chain. At the same time, new tariffs and global trade pressures have added additional cost layers to international shipping. Changes in trade policies — particularly increased tariffs between major economies — have had a knock-on effect across global supply chains, raising the cost of moving goods internationally. Alongside this, ongoing geopolitical tensions have impacted energy prices and transport routes, which further contributes to higher shipping costs worldwide. What this means in practice Shipping today is not priced the same way it was when the project was first scoped. The combination of inflation, tariffs, and global logistics pressures has materially increased the real cost of fulfilment.
ecent instability in the Middle East has had a measurable impact on the global economy — particularly in areas that directly affect shipping and logistics. One of the biggest effects has been on energy and fuel prices. The region plays a key role in global energy supply, and any disruption or uncertainty tends to increase oil and fuel costs worldwide. These increases don’t stay isolated — they flow through the entire supply chain: Higher fuel costs increase international shipping rates Transport and courier pricing rises globally Manufacturing and logistics operations become more expensive Insurance and routing costs can also increase in affected regions As a result, the cost of moving goods internationally has risen across the board, not just for this project but for the entire industry. What this means for fulfilment Shipping costs today reflect a global environment where logistics is more expensive and less predictable than when the project was originally planned.
Unlike large retailers, crowdfunding projects operate without the ability to subsidise shipping at scale. All costs must be covered directly to ensure: The project remains financially viable Orders can be fulfilled reliably There are no delays or compromises in delivery
Yes — this has been a major focus for us. We’ve actively worked to keep shipping as low as possible by: Reviewing multiple fulfilment and courier options Optimising packaging and logistics Consolidating processes to avoid duplicate handling costs Despite significant increases in global shipping and logistics costs, we’ve kept pricing as controlled as we can while still ensuring reliable delivery. In the current climate — with rising fuel costs, global supply chain pressures, and broader economic instability — international shipping has become considerably more expensive across the board. Our goal has been to strike the right balance between cost, reliability, and avoiding any surprise fees on delivery.
The One Dice is a premium, animated die designed to add fun, theatre, and immersion to your tabletop games. It rolls like a normal die, but always lands face-up so you see glowing animations and results clearly.
Fast Mode shows results instantly. No long animations, just the number as soon as the die lands. It was the most requested feature, and we’ve worked hard to make it feel seamless.
No. The One Dice isn’t here to replace your dice bag it’s here to add something new. Use it for your most important rolls, for storytelling, or just when you want something that feels special.

Yes The One Dice uses a random number generator (RNG) system, the same kind of mathematics that powers casino machines and computer simulations. Every roll is independent, and every side has the same chance of coming up. The truth is, no physical dice in the world are perfectly fair even handmade resin dice, metal dice, or casino-grade dice can have tiny imperfections. Unless you’re rolling something designed by NASA engineers, there’s always some variance. What The One Dice does is guarantee that your results are as fair and often fairer than most dice you already use. We’re also building in tamper-proof safeguards. If anyone ever tries to hack or alter the dice, the system will block access to the app and the One Base, effectively locking out cheaters. That means everyone at the table can trust the roll. The One Dice is about fun, fairness, and theatre not about shortcuts.
BackerKit FAQ
BackerKit Crowdfunding is an all-or-nothing collaborative funding platform. Creators share their project ideas and set a funding goal with a deadline. Backers pledge money to help make the project possible.
If the project meets its goal by the deadline, pledges are charged and the creator moves forward. If it doesn’t, no one is charged.
Backers often receive special rewards for their support, such as:
- Exclusive products
- Bonus rewards for backing related projects
- Discount pricing
- Behind-the-scenes updates
- Creative input opportunities
Pledging in crowdfunding is a commitment to support the creation of a new product or project. Unlike a traditional purchase, you're not buying an item that already exists. Instead, your contribution helps bring a creative idea to life, and in return, you typically receive rewards (such as the product itself) as a thank you for your early support.
- Select a pledge level with the reward(s) you would like to receive
- Select any add-ons
- Confirm your pledge!
- You are charged only if the campaign meets its funding goal.
- Charges happen when the campaign ends, not when you pledge.
The creator will send you a survey to:
- Ask you for more information about your rewards (selecting options, etc)
- Collect shipping information
- Offer additional items you may want to add to your pledge
- Collect shipping fees (if applicable)
The survey will be sent to the email address we have on file with your pledge. Additional payments are charged when you complete the survey.
Only the project creator and the BackerKit Support Team can see your pledge and contact information. Other backers and the public cannot see your individual pledge amount or personal details.
You can change or adjust your pledge level and add-ons before the campaign ends. After the project concludes, cancellations or changes are at the creator's discretion and may depend on what stage the project is in.
Overtime Mode extends your campaign past its original end time to give backers a final chance to make their pledge. It will add an additional 10 minutes past the end time as long as pledges keep coming in. The campaign will end when there is a 10-minute period without any new pledges.
