I am sooooo excited to show you how Ember's design is going! There are a lot of steps when it comes to finalizing plushie designs, but essentially it goes like this:
Create illustration -> Work with a plushie designer and talk details! (This time around, we wanted to make dragons resembling our OG Snuggle Dragons) -> Discuss sizing, pricing, and budgeting for the project -> Pay the sample fees -> Revise, revise, revise!!! -> Decide if any final changes need to be made on the final plushie design -> have the sample sent to me (we are so close to this step!) -> and if enough funds are made, start bulk production!
The designs you see for Ember, Knoll, Cotton Candy, and Buttercup are all conceptualized between myself and my manufacturing team. We utilize a plethora of different programs to put together what we want the physical plushies to look like (which is what you see in my promo materials). My favorite is by far utilizing photoshop to change the color and adding details!
Below, you'll see what Ember looks like in his nearly finished form! I can't wait until he flies home to me soon :D And then to all you eventually!
NOTE: The only changes needed to be made for this design are to round the scales and elongate the snoot a little bit. But then he is all done!
