Project FAQ
Gameplay generally takes 90-120 minutes. Looking for something more epic, try the Vintner's Challenge Ruleset for more of a 'slow-build' version of the game.
Recommended number of players is 3-5. A sixth army will be available for six player games, which will take longer and be a little more challenging but very much a possibility. We are still working out kinks for a 2-player version as well.
Ontario has 12 appellations as designated by the VQA. One of them is Prince Edward County, one is Lake Erie North Shore. There are six in the Niagara Escarpment and four in Niagara on the Lake. All are represented in the game.
The board itself is a large 20" x 30" full colour board, The game comes with 5 fleets (2 trucks, 2 chateaus, 1 vintner and 10 vineyard stakes), 2 varietal dice (red and white), 50 cards, over 100 GrapeCoin, 6 Gold Medal Varietal tokens and 6 Tariff tokens. Rule guide and local wine info included in the box.
There are three main components to a turn in Vineyard Run. First a player rolls both Varietal Dice and then players place a GrapeCoin in all tended vineyards that are growing said varietals. Next the player has the option to move his/her truck once (or pay to move more spaces) in order to purchase more vineyards or to set themselves up for harvest. Last component is the purchase. A player may make only one purchase on a turn; that can be a vineyard, a chateau or a 2nd truck.
Sadly, the typical turn around for the production and shipment of the game is about 3 months. Add a week onto that until the game is in your hands. I can not guarantee this will arrive in time to be a Christmas gift but would arrive shortly thereafter if the Suez canal stays clear!
BackerKit FAQ
BackerKit Crowdfunding is an all-or-nothing collaborative funding platform. Creators share their project ideas and set a funding goal with a deadline. Backers pledge money to help make the project possible.
If the project meets its goal by the deadline, pledges are charged and the creator moves forward. If it doesn’t, no one is charged.
Backers often receive special rewards for their support, such as:
- Exclusive products
- Bonus rewards for backing related projects
- Discount pricing
- Behind-the-scenes updates
- Creative input opportunities
Pledging in crowdfunding is a commitment to support the creation of a new product or project. Unlike a traditional purchase, you're not buying an item that already exists. Instead, your contribution helps bring a creative idea to life, and in return, you typically receive rewards (such as the product itself) as a thank you for your early support.
- Select a pledge level with the reward(s) you would like to receive
- Select any add-ons
- Confirm your pledge!
- You are charged only if the campaign meets its funding goal.
- Charges happen when the campaign ends, not when you pledge.
The creator will send you a survey to:
- Ask you for more information about your rewards (selecting options, etc)
- Collect shipping information
- Offer additional items you may want to add to your pledge
- Collect shipping fees (if applicable)
The survey will be sent to the email address we have on file with your pledge. Additional payments are charged when you complete the survey.
Only the project creator and the BackerKit Support Team can see your pledge and contact information. Other backers and the public cannot see your individual pledge amount or personal details.
You can change or adjust your pledge level and add-ons before the campaign ends. After the project concludes, cancellations or changes are at the creator's discretion and may depend on what stage the project is in.
Overtime Mode extends your campaign past its original end time to give backers a final chance to make their pledge. It will add an additional 10 minutes past the end time as long as pledges keep coming in. The campaign will end when there is a 10-minute period without any new pledges.
