Hi! I’m Dixon Block—educator by trade, game designer by passion, and the creator behind Driving Me Crazy! and Knights of the Pond Table (with more to come!)

By day, I design and facilitate serious games and workshops for teams and organizations. By night (and often early morning), I dive headfirst into creating tabletop games that bring people together for connection, laughter, and a bit of friendly competition.

Simplexity Games is sort of like minimalism meets board games. I believe great games don’t need to be complicated to be memorable and fun. My goal is to design experiences that are easy to learn, quick to play, but still offer a chance for critical thinking and strategic play. Rules should only be there if they are necessary, and anything not adding value to a balanced, fun, and challenging game is stripped away.

Driving Me Crazy! was my first published game, inspired by the beautiful chaos of road trips and the unpredictable fun of game nights with friends. It’s light, fast, and built for shouting, groaning, and cheering around the table. It was funded in 7 hours and 60% sold out even before the games left the factory!

When I’m not designing games, you’ll find me working on creative education projects, running game-based workshops, or chasing after my toddler with a coffee in hand.
