Kathryn Garner is an artist, writer, and scientist living and working in the UK. During her first year at art school, she made a collection of Cell Paintings inspired by brightly-coloured microscopy images in biology books in the art school library. Incredibly, these paintings became the gateway to a 20-year career working as a Molecular Cell Biologist and a lifetime of making art, illustrations, and writing about biology.
Current projects include an Engineering Biology blog called Making With Biology, and writing and illustrating her first middle grade children's book.
