Highlights

Wow, it's just day 2 and we are almost to our first stretch goal of $15k!

Time to start a discussion about what we might do for this (and future) milestones.

Whether you're a first-time backer or a long-time fan, what kinds of things would you like to see us do?

Project Update: We Funded!!! + Cool Spacesuits

Thank you all so much for your support of Outlaws and Corporations and Orbital Blues Month at large! It's been an incredible first day and we're so grateful for your hard earned cash. We were lucky enough to fund in just three hours, and that's not some fake, made up $1977 goal for bragging on social media, is the real goal we needed to produce this incredible book and all the other stuff that will make Orbital Blues Month sing. The same is true across the whole collab month: no fake budgets, no clickbait, no AI, no cashgrab SRD, just a real game made by real people for real fans.

Please take a moment to share our project and the rest of the collaboration month on social media, so we can continue to make Orbital Blues Month an incredible success and lift up all the other creators who contributed their work and time to growing the Outlaw Galaxy. .

We've not got much else to share or say, but here's some sweet art that Josh has done for the book. Its the entire Anno-37 spring catalogue from legendary designer Santino, the in-house Product Architect at Caldair. You know what they say: "No one does it like Caldair", and no one else draws sci-fi art like Josh.
Speak soon, share widely, get sad,

Zach, Mol and the rest of the Orbital Blues Month Team

Project Update: Oribtal Blues Month Day 2

I am not going to tell anyone how many times I refreshed the project page yesterday. But I will say that it was wild and unexpected. My goal was $2000, and we're over $5000 now! That's wild

I'll have some more updates and sneak peeks in the coming weeks, but first I want to encourage folks to check out a couple of the other OB Month projects:

  • Jupiter in Eb Minor - Lone Archivist is a game designer with one of the keenest eyes for style I've encountered. I've used a handful of his assets in various games I've made, and they're always impressive. Looking at Jupiter, it's going to be another level entirely. (There's also some thematic overlap with *Station-bound Semitones*, which is one of the most popular add-ons y'all have been picking up.)

  • F-Infiniti - The line-up for this book is stacked, and I don't just mean the racers. Genuinely some of my favorite people in the entire indie TTRPG scene are working on this book, and it's going to be amazing. But beyond that, the pod-racing scene is still one of my favorite things in that whole franchise, so naturally, I'm hyped for a book that's going to put the things I loved about it into the OB universe I already love so much.

I also want to thank everyone again for believing in my book. I'm also really jazzed to see how many of you all are picking up the whole series so far! I've been endlessly proud making these little zines, so I'm really excited to bring them to you while getting to a nice and even four books.

Huge F1 fan here so excited for this project. Will PDF backers also get digital copies of the Grid Position Playmat and Core Planet Circuit Maps?

I can't seem to find a way to add a PDF of "An Infinity of Ships" or "100 Strangers" as add-ons for my digital pledge, is that not going to be available as an option?

Project Update: Already Funded?!

Hey all!

So, that went way faster than I expected. I was pretty apprehensive this morning, as this is the first time I've sat on the Creator Dashboard side of the Backerkit equation.

But, with 69 people (nice) we hit the funding goal of $2,000. I was going to snag a screenshot, but whoever you are #70, you were just a second too fast. (But seriously thanks!).

Thank you, everyone, for believing in this little project. Now I guess I have to make the dang thing, huh?  (I am honestly very excited to get these books into your hands.)

If you haven't already, please do check out the rest of the Orbital Blues Month projects. They all look genuinely amazing, and are by some of my favorite creators in the Indie TTRPG scene. We've got 2/6 projects funded, and we couldn't have done it without all of your support.

...y'all have got me singing Starlight Express songs from some forgotten vault of my mind. I'm going to inflict them on you next time I see you rascals at a con. Congrats on the launch!

Project Update: Funded!

After just about 6 hours, Paramour has met its funding goal. A heartfelt thank you to everyone that has supported us so far! Please continue to spread the word and check out the rest of Orbital Blues Month so we can ensure all of the projects reach their goal as well.

The focus from here is making Paramour the best that it can be. Our first stretch goal is improving the print quality of the zine, then we'll be bolstering it's content with some additional writing and a few additional art pieces from Lur Noise.

Tales From Across the Galaxy

As this update is sent out, Dying Hard on Hardlight Station: Anthology Edition for the Mothership RPG will be in its final hours of funding over on Kickstarter. For the uninformed, both Chris and I were given the opportunity to write scenarios for the Adventure Collection. For those contemplating sneaking in a pledge at the last minute, backers should receive an early PDF with all ten adventures shortly after the campaign closes and the pledge manager opens up. Check out the clips below for a sneak peek at what's in store over there.

Project Update: Stretch Goals, Interviews, and Episodes

Paramour is trucking along, passing our first stretch goal with the second in our sights. This first goal is pretty self explanatory. With the additional funds in hand, we will be splurging a bit to get a higher quality print for the zine. The next two are about expanding what's inside, so please keep sharing so that we can keep giving you more.

Interview

For those who want to learn more of the intended experience of Paramour and a general idea as to how these types of projects come together, I recently sat down with the folks at Why We Roll for a chat. You can check out the VOD from our conversion at the link below. I'd also recommend sticking around the channel and checking out some of the other interviews with Zach, Adam, and Wes to get a deeper dive into the other Orbital Blues Month projects!

Why We Roll × Josh Domanski for Orbital Blues Month!

Episodes

In celebration of Orbital Blues Month, our own Chris Airiau has kicked off a series of related reviews on the Ansible Uplink podcast. The first is available to listen now, covering The Man We Knew by Kayla Dice, joined by Paramour's editor Samantha Leigh. Follow along for more to come!
