Hello everyone! In today's update, we have some new art to look over, and an updated Pledge Manager timeline!

The final art for all of the backer's choice kitsune designs is now available, and the project page has been updated with these images!

The backer's choice dragon's tide set is still a work-in-progress, but here is where we're at! The standard pin and necklace have final lines available, and all other pins have sketches. In addition, I've put together a tighter drawing for the deluxe dragon pin, though it is currently missing the water shaping. Once this design is finished, I'll be able to finalize the two color variants! (the standard pin's colors are currently a placeholder)

Finally, I updated the extra goodies with the kitsune stitch markers and the dragon and kitsune sticky note designs:

Getting the final artwork together for the backer's choice stretch goals has definitely taken longer than anticipated. As a result, the Pledge Manager timeline has been pushed back. I'm now in a place where I'm happy with the base drawings, and I expect to finish the dragon tide designs shortly. I anticipate that the Pledge Manager and Preorder store will be available sometime next week. I have updated the project page to reflect these new time projections.

There was some buffer built into my initial timeline, and at this point I believe that I will still be able to deliver this project on the same delivery date of July of 2026. If this timeline changes, I will be sure to let you know; however, it's still looking good for the original delivery date!

My apologies on the post-campaign silence. Thank you for your patience as I work to get the final artwork together and make the pledge manager available for your final selections! Let me know if you have any questions, concerns, or feedback!

The smoke test is 88% complete with no apparent issues, so surveys have been sent to all backers! Check your email for a link.

As a reminder, the survey is mandatory to receive your rewards. it allows me to collect item counts for manufacturing, but also addresses and shipping fees. If I don't have your address, there's no way for me to send you your pins.

When are Surveys Due?
I will leave surveys open until the first week of April. I am tentatively placing the survey closing date at APRIL 7. That's 3 weeks to fill out surveys. If you do not fill out your survey by the time orders lock, I may not be able to guarantee you'll receive your first choice of rewards. 

If your survey goes unanswered by the time fulfillment is complete, your pledge will be considered a donation and it will not be refunded.

What about Pay Over Time Backers?
Pay Over Time backers will receive their surveys when their payment is completed (4 installments total). I will be keeping these folks in mind as I finalize item counts.

Can I switch my Pledge Tier After I get my Survey?
Yes, you can! Most pledge tiers are enabled for switching. If you'd like to easily upgrade your pledge, click the "Switch your Pledge Level" link under the big green Get Started button when you first open your survey.

Please note, you are not able to switch your pledge tier back if you change your mind!

How is Shipping Calculated?
As outlined before, shipping is not only based on location, but the total weight of your cart. A US backer pledging for the highest tier should expect about $10 in shipping. A US backer pledging for a single pin will see a shipping fee around $6.

Furthermore, if you add multiple add-on pins to your cart, expect your shipping fee to go up incrementally. The heaviest items are the dangling pins and the Six-Legged Stag pin.

When will I be Charged?
When you complete your survey, you will not immediately be charged for shipping & any extra add-ons. Cards will be charged at a later date, which I will post here via updates. I will wait until closer to fulfillment to charge cards—most likely after I have the pins.

Surveys went out two days ago at like 4am, don't ask me why I was awake.

A good portion of you have already answered it, in fact over half of ye did! That's an incredible stat for just two days. Let's get the other half answered now ;D

Here's a few common questions!

Can I change my survey after completing it?
Yes, you can change the survey up until it's locked however many times you wish!

Can I change my address?
Addresses will be locked much later so you can also change that however many times you wish!

Can I change to a different tier?
You should be able to switch to any tier in the settings of your pledge! In the survey too.

When will cards be charged?
Once the surveys end and are locked, which will be at the end of the month, so there's time!

Why isn't shipping being calculated?
I'm testing out a new broker with my current Etsy orders so I can lower shipping costs for everyone. I estimate shipping to be charged around May once I have everything settled! This will be a third seperate charge. I normally wouldn't do this, but I would much rather the broker work out than charging obscene amounts for tracking.

Usually I would give it 10 days to be filled out, HOWEVER, we're waiting for new sock samples, and I want to give people ample time to make informed choices on their purchase! I can't guarantee I'll have the samples in my hands by then, but I will at least have photos.

That said, I would still like if everyone could fill out their surveys for the main pin counts asap.
You can edit the survey later for the socks if you're waiting for that, but the sooner I have correct pin counts, the sooner I can put them into production!

Thank you again for the continued support on this project. I don't think I can ever be thankful enough for everyone trusting me with this vision and being excited to learn about prehistoric creatures. 

I'd like to mention as well that this year I will be at Dokomi! It'll be my first time vending in Germany and I will have all my past pins with me along with a bunch of bug stuff. So if you're attending too please come by and say hi and tell me what your favourite bug is!

We're currently sitting at 92% of surveys complete! 🎉 At this moment, we have around 35 people left who still need to select their designs.

We're getting close, so I've went ahead and received the quote for the pins and will be sending the artwork to the manufacturer this week!

❗❗ IMPORTANT: This means orders will be locking on March 12th around 8pm EST ❗❗

With locking the orders, I will also be charging the cards on this day too! Please ensure your card info is up to date this week!!

You will still be able to update your addresses up until I start fulfillment, and I will give another heads up once I'm in that stage.

After the pins are in production, everything will officially be in motion! The stickers and sticker sheets have already been ordered and are well into production at this point. 🎉🎉🎉

A few minutes ago I've sent off all the surveys!
The smoke test (a small % of backers get the survey early to test if things go well) showed one hiccup with the local pickup but it should all be good now! In this update a short summary of things to keep in mind.

In your mail you will receive an email with an url to my survey. 
Follow all the steps, add any items you might missed out on, fill in your address and hit 'place order'. This will make sure your survey is finished and I will receive a tally of all chosen enamel pin designs, which I need to place an order for all the enamel pin designs.
Around the time the enamel pins are done with their production I will write another update I am about to lock and charge the survey. This means the choices you've made will be permanent and means you will pay the missing amount. This amount is extra added add-on's, shipping (and possible tariff duty fees) and any missing initial payments. 

When the enamel pins are being sent my way (this will be late May early June) I will update again and lock the addresses. Until that update your got all the time to change your address if need be due to a move for instance. But no worries, I will write an update for that before starting fulfillment.

PLEASE fill in your survey as soon as you possibly can! I will need these choices to place an order. I usually wait until 80% is filled in to have an accurate overview.

For those that qualify for Early Amphibian sticker, Returning Amphibian sticker, Pin banner sticker and/or Cross collab freebie, you will find those items in your survey basket already set up! 

For those who backed both Birds of North America and Frogtastic Frogs you qualify for combined shipping if you want to. You will pay the shipping costs at Birds of North America but these won't be paid in Frogtastic Frogs #2. In my survey you will fill in your address as otherwise except for your country you choose 'Local Pickup'. I URGE you to fill in the rest of your address this due to administrative paperwork on my end.
Important notice: this is only available if backed both of our projects. We will check if you qualify for this.

Also good to know is that actual local pickup (at cons or otherwise) is NOT possible.

Only backed Frogtastic Frogs
If you only backed Frogtastic Frogs, you can ignore this information and carry on like usual for surveys and fill in your shipping information so you pay the correct amount.

For those who missed out or have friends asking about enamel pins, the pre-order shop is open. This is a shop via Backerkit which means it's credit card only and fulfillment of these orders will be done together with the Backer pledges. (In de pre-order shop you cannot get the Early/Returning/Pin banner freebies, nor the cross collab freebie pin.)

Plip Plip Plip! Hi all!

We have been working on preparing our surveys, and we plan to start sending them by the end of this first week of March.

In the meanwhile, or if you missed the campaign, we have opened up our Pre-order shop for a limited time, here, in Backerkit.

With it, we decided to give another chance to the 'Vampi' Fluffypede Pin, and we have added it as a stretch goal add-on in the Pre-order shop. It will be unlocked if we get at least 10 units ordered.

And we have also added a new 'Flufflock' Vinyl Sticker add-on. Now we have one sticker for each of the 6 main Fluffipedes. And with that we are also adding one add-on: a set of the 6 stickers at a discount!

Both 'Vampi' Fluffypede Pin and the new Sticker and 6 Sticker set will also be added to the surveys.

With these surveys and in the pre-order shop we will not be charging shipping yet. We will do it later, closer to fulfillment.

Thank you to all the backers who received the smoke test and submitted their survey responses. The smoke test survey responses look great with no issues so far! We have now emailed out all surveys. We kindly ask that all surveys be submitted by March 13th! Backers have until March 16th to update or change their survey responses. Cards will be charged on March 16th (the charge may appear as either Backerkit - Mochiville or just Mochiville on your bank statement).

Pay Over Time Backers: Backers who opted for the Pay Over Time option will automatically receive their surveys once the 4th installment is paid or their pledge is paid in full, whichever comes first. We will order extra pins of each design to ensure we have enough pins to fulfill everyone's pledges.

Hello Everyone!

Just sending a final reminder to check that your payment has successfully processed please!
We have pay over time payments that have also failed, so were are currently going to be $1601 short from the Pledged Amount. Leaving us with a successful collection total of $7778.

Sadly, after getting into the Pledge Manager, it looks like many are repeat failed payment backers, most of whom do not end up paying during surveys.

We are currently $772 short of keeping our Bear and Pig pins goal. And $1,222 short of keeping our ZZZ Bubble and Skinny Crescent Moon Mini Pins.

We are going to keep the Seal and Raccoon goal because I know we can make that $222 up in the surveys. We will also keep the 200 backer Sticker Gift goal.

I know there will always be some failed payments, historically the average for my projects is $433. Generally, being short $500 or less can easily be made up during the surveys so I tend to keep those achievements regardless. In this case unfortunately, I think that gap is too large to risk it. This amount of failed payments so close to the end of the correction window is unlike anything I have ever seen for any of my projects, and with that, I apologize to anyone who is disappointed by any of the lost achievements.

I am planning on sending out surveys on March 2nd. I will send an update when they are sent in case I end up needing a few extra days to finish setting everything up.
