Calling all authors, artists, and publishers 📣 You’re invited to launch your next crowdfunding project on BackerKit as part of PRINTOPIA — a celebration of books, comics, and graphic novels from a diverse group of creators all crowdfunding together. All projects that launch as part of Printopia will start and end at the same time from September 9 - September 30, 2025.
Please read through our participation expectations below prior to submitting your application:
- Must run and fulfill your own crowdfunding project on BackerKit
- Must launch and end at exactly the same time as all participants
- Product needs to be something new, not a reprint
- Product must fit within the event categories: books, comics, and graphic novels.
- Includes: Picture Books, Anthologies, Poetry Collections, Ebooks, Audio Books
- Excludes: Tabletop Role Playing Games (TTRPG), Photo Books, Zines
- Must join our private Discord Server and private channels
- All participants must adhere to our AI Policy
To be accepted as a participant, you’re expected to be a strong team player and a positive, engaged member of the community throughout the entire experience. This means showing up, uplifting fellow creators, and actively participating in building a collaborative environment. You should be prepared to share not only your own project, but also help amplify the work of fellow creators making this a success for everyone involved.

Applications will be prioritized by previous Topia and/or Group-Collab experience on BackerKit, previous experience successfully funding crowdfunding projects on any platform, referrals from qualifying applicants, and open applications, in that order.
