As we prepare for launch, we want you to help decide which Dragon Hoard Keepers we should prioritize. We've taken the time to give them perfectly normal people names! Your thoughts will help us decide which ones to put together for our first stretch goals.
I just wanted to touch base about some questions that arose from the survey.
First, collaboration rewards:
These were "automatically" added to qualifying carts; however, you might not see them when you complete the survey.
I have double-checked; they are there. Because I didn't link them to a SKU during the campaign (it only exists for returning backer/early bird/reservation pins etc.), collaboration rewards had to be manually added through creating segments (Since these numbers are only known post-campaign). Backerkit staff informed me that this means you won't see them, but they are there! This is what I see for the packing list:
Pledge "Upgrades":
Some of you may have noticed an item that says "upgrades" when you complete the survey. These are the pins added during the survey.

Tariffs:😢
Unfortunately my US backers have to pay tariffs and will see those in their carts. Tariffs are calculated per item based on value, where they are manufactured, item type, and estimated arrival date in the US since it's variable and can change on a whim. Which means each item has different rules and rates (setting it up is a headache). What this means is that unfortunately even of you backed multiple campaigns with me, even if I shipped it together, it won't lower the cost. I wish I could do this, but this is something out of my control.
I miss the free-trade agreement.
Hopefully this helps clarify some questions.

With much anticipation, the ravenous hoard has arrived! They rode in their very own Fedex truck. We’ve never had such a big delivery all at once!

After 70 boxes swiftly piled on in, they are now sitting happily stored away. We knew this day was coming, but we are getting clever about how we manage the inventory. Seventy boxes take up a lot of room!
That’s a lotta dragons!
They did come in squished tightly together and do need some fluffing out. But so far, they all look great!
In this day and age a lot goes into importing a plush like this. We made sure to have them tested for ages 3+ and to make sure that the magnet design in the smaller plush was safe for children. Shipping charges were also much higher than expected. It’s been quite the ride!
We have most of the Pins!
Most of the pins have arrived!
A few of the pins are still finishing up production. But they should be shipping to us within the next few weeks!

At this stage we are working on determining final shipping costs of the plush before updating that part of the pledge manager. As it turns out, 2 lb of pins does not take up the same amount of space as 2 lb of plushie dragons. So we’re still locking that part down. That said we expect to update the pledge manager shipping details soon!
We can’t wait till these guys can flap their tiny wings and make their way to their cozy new homes!
As we approach fulfillment, I have unlocked all US orders since some of the tariff rules have changed. (Mostly affecting Canadian products 😭, which doesn't include pins) You should have received a final notice of orders locking earlier today in your email. Please review your order so you know what to expect when I charge cards next week. I don't want there to be any surprises.

It's been a while since my last update and I apologize. Summer got busier than anticipated and the challenge of trying to balance spending time with my family/travelling made me less productive than I like. Summer is always chaos without the routine of school and kids being home and trying to squeeze as many memories as possible into 2 months.
But I finally have good news, I will charge cards soon and start fulfillment.
If you backed both Zodiac Derpies & Pride Pins, I will try to see about possibly shipping everything together.

On some completely unrelated good news, I did an 8 day sailing race/trip with my husband and we won!
This is us on our boat "Hard Mode" - yes that's a pirate flag, yarrr!
The trophy we get to keep for a whole year.
A humpback whale tail - we saw so many! And dolphins! We were totally spoiled.
Okay part of the reason we won was because there was almost no wind and calling it a "sailing" trip is a bit misleading. But we peddled our hearts out (sacrificing knees and hips to get the trophy)
Why am I mentioning it? (Other than I get to share something personal) My next Derpy Dragon campaign us "Derpy Adventures" which is heavily inspired by sailing and pirates!
I probably won't run it until after shipping all the Pride/Zodiac pins, like y not till Printopia in Feb, but you can follow it in the meantime here! Here's the sketches:

So far, over half the rewards have already shipped out, and the rest will be shipping over the next couple of weeks.
