Highlights
Project Update: Update #14: September Progress Update
- Physical copies: Printing is complete and all physical copies of both No Gods, No Masters and Sphere of Influence are currently crowding up my house. I’m working with TKG and the NA/EU warehouses to get the materials out to them and stored for distribution.
- Dossiers & Warden Reference Sheet: The player-facing dossiers on the C-Suite members have been completed and approved by TKG. They’re currently with TKG for distribution via BK, so keep an eye out for those soon. Additionally, after some feedback from folks playing the module in the wild, I put together a Warden Reference Sheet to act as a quick guide on the Levels Table, Alternate Panic Table, and the Bad News Table. Hopefully these items will make the module easier to run and more evocative for players.
- Digital availability: If you missed the campaign or the pre-order store, both No Gods, No Masters and Sphere of Influence are now up for digital sale on itch, DriveThruRPG, and RPG Trader. You can also grab a community copy of Sphere of Influence on itch if you don’t currently have the funds.
If you’re looking for more, there’s lots of cool stuff happening RIGHT NOW:
- Michael Kramer (of Grim Merchants fame) has a new tri-fold out for Mothership by the name of Cathedral of the Red Immortal. Originally put together as part of the TripTech 3 game jam, he’s done a lot of work to get the module cleaned up and really singing. This is an extremely cool module, and you can grab a copy here: https://inky-drafts.itch.io/cathedral-of-the-red-immortal
- And Tomorrow Games has a new crowdfunder up for Trapped on Schrodinger’s Moon. This one looks like a really fun throwback and I’m eager to see what they put together. It’s currently up on Backerkit here: https://www.backerkit.com/c/projects/and-tomorrow-games/trapped-on-schrodinger-s-moon-a-module-for-mothership-rpg?ref=bk-discover-recommended&utm_campaign=bk-discover-recommended&utm_medium=discover&utm_source=backerkit
- I absolutely adore Dante Alighieri’s Divine Comedy, and the Inferno from said collected poem perpetually lingers in the back of my mind. I’m an absolute sucker for any adaptation of the Inferno (including the kind-of-awesome, kind-of-awful Dante’s Inferno videogame that came out back in 2010), so I’m stoked to see that EpicQuest.ch is working on an anthology for Mothership inspired by the same. It looks cool and weird and you can find it on Backerkit here: https://www.backerkit.com/c/projects/epicquest-ch/9circles-a-dante-inspired-mothership-rpg-anthology?ref=bk-discover-recommended&utm_campaign=bk-discover-recommended&utm_medium=discover&utm_source=backerkit

Project Update: WHITE HEAT: Stretch Goal - Dining at Harvey's
The final stretch goal for WHITE HEAT is here: Dining at Harvey's!
This new section lets your Crew visit the restaurant on Prospero's Dream during downtime, not just as part of the adventure. I've put together a two-page spread with details on visiting the restaurant on the left and the menu on the right. It went through many iterations and I'm super happy with how it turned out!
My initial plan was to offer Wardens a flavourful downtime location with some unique foods, drinks, maybe some rumours, like any other bar or restaurant the Crew can visit. The more I worked on it, though, the more that version felt a little too safe.
Noticing there weren't many ways to recover lost Fear and Sanity Saves in the Mothership rules, I turned the menu into a multi-course psychedelic experience that gives the Crew the chance to restore lost Saves—at a price.
Each menu has a theme:
- Bliss plays with memory and restores Fear
- Illumination plays with reason and restores Sanity
- Hell is a blame game and may increase a random Save (but may also get someone killed)
Each of the courses comes with a prompt to spark some roleplay. The prompts interact across the different menus, so when you run it, I'd recommend encouraging your players to opt for different set menus.
Here's the translation for the three Bliss courses:
- Per amica silentia lunae - Through the friendly silences of the moon
- Sub nives obliviosa - Beneath obliviating (forgetfulness-inducing) snows / beneath the snows of forgetfulness
- Ad somni cor - To the heart of sleep
Shout out to Strega Wolf van den Berg for their excellent layout on this and somehow managing to fit the whole menu on a single page!
And special thanks to my friend Heather for helping me with the menu concept.
Progress Report
Hope you enjoy the new section!
Gilbert
Project Update: UPDATE 13 ▫️ The One About Music & Digital Release Dates
Hello hello hello,
First of all, apologies for the radio silence - I can assure you all that work has continued on Certain Fathoms and we're very near some finish lines!
Ahead of the jump, the Certain Fathoms PDF will be releasing before the end of September, Hostile Takeover + Viewer Discretion PDFs following shortly behind in late September or early October. From there, Employee of the Month + Echo Chamber PDFs will be in the month of October, followed lastly by the Secret Levels PDF in November.
As for physical releases, all physical vendors have been prepped for files and are ready for them when I send them out. Even though the writing / editing / layout has been a little slower than I would have liked (life, amirite?), rest assured that the fantastic physical vendors we're working with have been standing by for when they're ready. Expect more on this in a couple weeks, before the end of September.
The two things I want to touch on this update are a follow-up for the Certain Fathoms Soundtrack and an explanation of the delays. Read on to find out more.
Certain Fathoms Soundtrack Now Streaming, Lossless Files Coming This Friday (9/11)
Last we chatted, I teased how the soundtrack was going to be streaming on a few major platforms. Well, as it turns out: music distribution is pretty dang easy! And cheap!
So, Certain Fathoms (Original Game Soundtrack) is available basically anywhere that you can get music. You can listen to it on all the big, popular ones. You can listen to it on Pandora like it's 2011. You can even add it to the background of your TikToks, Snapchats, Instagram Reels, etc. Truly, more options than you could ever want.
NOTE: Bandcamp is coming soon - it's the only one on the list that isn't automatically distributed and instead requires a bit of background work. I have to manually set prices for tracks and the entire album, design a page, and do the nitty gritty work to make sure everybody's getting what they paid for.
As for Lossless files, everybody who added the soundtrack to their orders will be getting FLAC, WAV, and updated MP3 files. As a reminder, the soundtrack is officially licensed with CC BY-SA 4.0, which means you can use all fifteen tracks on the release however you want—whether it be in your games or in commercial products.
The only restrictions are that you must give appropriate credit (in this case, it would be Colin Whitehurst and Nate Whittington) and that if you distribute your adaptations or remixes, you must do so under the same CC BY-SA 4.0 license.
Since the soundtrack is licensed for reuse, here's the exact credit line to use so you stay compliant and we stay credited. Copy this as-is:[Track Name]" by Colin Whitehurst and Nate Whittington, from the Certain Fathoms (Original Game Soundtrack), licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0.
For the whole album rather than a single track, swap the track name for Certain Fathoms (Original Game Soundtrack).
One more note on the soundtrack: Those of you who have been listening to the original MP3s sent out a while back will notice some differences between those tracks and these updated ones. Those original MP3s you can consider "demo tracks" and the new ones the "official tracks". In creating the lossless files, there was enough editing required across the board that Colin elected to simply re-record the files in all their modular synth beauty.
Some tracks are nearly identical to their originals. Others are quite a bit different. For those who want both versions, you have until this Friday, September 11 to download the MP3s before they're overwritten with the new versions. Call it our gift to you for being so patient with us.
Okay, time for the elephant in the room: obviously we're running a little behind schedule on things.
Part of that is outside of our control, but there's absolutely a bit of it that's on me and that's the communication on the delay. Trust me when I say that releasing things a few months later than what was initially planned IS the right decision, but it's a tough one to make and you ought to be looped in when that happens.
Sorry for keeping you all in the dark on that! Files ARE coming soon, I can promise you that. And as a bit of a peak behind the curtain, here's a couple (relatively) spoiler-free pages ...
... AND the MS Word manuscript final counts (post-edits, pre-final-layout)...
Talk soon!

I'll make another post when everyone should be able to download them! Thanks for your patience!
Project Update: A Gift for Backing + September Update
It's been a couple of months and everything is arrived and about to make its way to TKG's warehouses. Please follow the Mouths to Feed updates in order to best track fulfilment updates from here. I'll still try to pop in here and there just to catch anyone, but all updates and the pledge manager over at Tuesday Knight Game's side will be the best way to make sure you have everything going forward as they are handling everything from here.

Project Update: A Sneak Peak at Mouths to Feed and Mothership Month 26!
First, we’ve had some folks reach out to ask which PDFs are available to them and how to get their PDFs. Being that we have two crowdfunding campaigns we are working on, I wanted to clarify which PDFs are available for the Mothership Month 25/Prospero’s Dream campaign. The following Tuesday Knight Games publications are available for download to those who backed them:
- Player's Survival Guide
- Warden's Operation Manual
- Ship Breaker's Toolkit
- Unconfirmed Contact Reports
- Dead Planet
- A Pound of Flesh
- Gradient Descent
- Another Bug Hunt
- Wages of Sin
- Megadamage 01
Finally, we have some news about Mothership Month 26! We have really appreciated the amazing support of the Mothership community for the last two years. We’re ready to give back. This November, we will not be having a crowdfunding campaign for Mothership Month. Instead, we will be launching three new projects for the community.
The first is the Jump-9 Writer’s Grant. Three up-and-coming writers will be awarded $9,000 each to help them publish their Mothership third party adventure. Click here to learn more about the grant or submit your application. Winners will be announced during Mothership Month 26, but applications close on September 30th, 2026.
Be sure to check out Sean’s blog or watch his recent interview with Miles Away Games to learn more about Mothership Month 26.
Project Update: The zines have arrived!
Now, it's time to get everything off to TKG for distribution! They've assured us there will be an update with some more info on shipping in the next week or so, and I'll relay that here.
In the meantime, check it out!:
I can't wait to get these in y'alls hands! Talk to you again soon!

That means that both warehouses have received all the items for this campaign!
What Happens Next?
I'll still make small updates here and there as I receive more concrete information as to when this will happen, otherwise that is wrap on The Company's New Groove.
Is This The End?.....
I want to thank all of you for your support on this project and helping to bring it to life. This whole thing was completely new for Hummelgrafik and me, we learnt so much over this last year working on it and we're incredibly proud of what we managed to create.
I'm pretty active on the Mothership discord, so if you run the game, definitely let me know how it goes and if you have any questions then please reach out!
I hope you have a blast with The Company's New Groove. Perhaps I'll have a new adventure in the future for you to enjoy!
