Project Update: Last call for address updates! (Seriously)

Hey folks, the books are being finalized and are expected at the port in a couple of weeks.

This is your last chance to email us your address updates if you have them.

Send your NAME and NEW ADDRESS to [email protected] by July 10th to ensure you get your books. If your address isn't updated, and your package gets returned to us, we will need to charge you for shipping again to resend it.

Thanks,

Jason W.

Project Update: Final printing update!

Hey folks,

To be honest, this has been a fucking mess... Our printers in China messed up another round of AngelDust covers. They can't seem to get the premium covers right for some reason. KFAD turned out fine in the reprint, supposedly, but not AngelDust. It's really weird.

That said, we got final confirmation today that they are expediting an additional 57 copies of the AngelDust premium cover books, so we'll have the full order ready to go by next week. It is a huge relief.

So, with that (hopefully) taken care of, we expect the books to be in the US within 30 days, and shipping to you all to start soon thereafter!

If anyone is interested, here are images of the email exchange we had over the past few days... You see what we're dealing with?

Thanks for sticking with us.

Regards,

Jason and Jason

Project Update: Bad news about printing

Hey folks,

As written in our last update, everything has been printed. The bad news is that I got production copies of everything sent to me, and the Limited Edition books are all messed up. The covers are not centered correctly. I had the printer check them all this week, and it seems that they are pretty much all uncentered. This means that we have to wait another month for them to reprint those covers.

This sucks. It sucks hard. But the silver lining is that maybe, just maybe, the tariff will be reduced or gotten rid of by then? Who knows...

See attached images.

The top version of each is the new production cover, and you'll notice that the images are all way over to the right side, rather than centered.

I'll update you when we know more.

Project Update: Books and dice manufactured, figuring out tariff bullshit!

Hey folks,

Well, that happened. The new malignant monarchy has instituted tariffs that are completely disrupting the global economy, and more to the point, gaming specifically. Our entire industry is in for a rough ride.

For what it is worth, the tariffs will likely end up costing us, Accidental Cyclops Games, $3000. In this case, they only affect the dice and slipcases. The books are thankfully exempt, at least as far as we can confirm.  We won't find out the exact details of our new costs until the books arrive in port in the coming weeks.

For context, the $3000 completely negates the profit we had from the project. When I say profit, I mean the amount of money set aside to eventually either pay me or start the funding of our next game. Luckily, everyone else on the project has already been paid. We are fortunate that the extra thousands of dollars is there. Many other small projects do not have that luxury.

Big picture, we can all gaurantee that these tariffs will affect the business of games. We're all going to feel it. Costs will likely go up about 20% for customers because physical manufacturing is going to at least double. This will lead to the decline of gaming. It will lead to the death of small publishers. It is devastating.

Sadly, we've never needed gaming more than right now, when the lives of every decent Americans, and many others around the world, are directly affected in very negative ways. People are being disappeared. Laws are being ignored by our own government. Everyone's costs are climbing. Never have we needed the commaraderie and escape that games offer more. And now those are being stolen as well.

I am sad. I am am angry. I know many of you are as well. I am sorry for us all. I wish you all the best. I hope you stay safe. I hope we all get through it unharmed and happy. Maybe this is just a blip. But is certainly doesn't feel like it...

We'll let you know when the books and dice arrive and fulfillment begins.

Peace, love, and happiness,

Jason Ward

Project Update: Books printing, coming soon!

Hey folks,

It has been 6 months since I first said we were going to print. That's a long f---ing time! As noted in some previous updates, we've had a few delays. Some of those were our fault as we tweaked a couple of the files. Some of those were the printer's fault as they had holiday shutdowns and long queues. C'est la vie, I guess?

But, now we're actually printing! The Chinese New Year celebrations are done, we're back from the GAMA convention, and everything is rolling forward. We are expecting all printing to be done in April, and to have everything shipping to us soon thereafter. Once the freight arrives at our fulfillment center in New Jersey, the product will start shipping within days. My best guess is that some of you will be getting product as early as May. Most will likely be in June.

Thank you all for your patience and understanding as we try to make this project the best it can be.

Cheers,

Jason & Jason
