Glad you asked! Let me unfurl my Scroll of Patchnotes to... good gods.
Monsters of Murka began on Kickstarter over six years ago. Some of you reading this have been on this journey with us for years (and if you are, thank you so much, but also get better taste), while others of you may be hearing about Murka for the first time (if that's you, ignore that thing I just said about getting better taste, welcome! Glad to have you!).
A lot has changed in the last seven years: our team has grown and improved, while the world has fallen into such chaos that keeping up with satirizing it has proven to be essentially impossible. We've expanded the world of Murka a handful of times and even created entirely new games. And now, looking back at the incredible work we did on the Murka series, we wanted to give it a complete engine rebuild and a fresh coat of paint. Ratified & Radified is a ground-up reimagining of the content in the original books. You'll find everything from new content for both GMs and Players, to sweeping lore changes and additions, to all new cameos and commentary. We've made over 2,000 updates, changes, and additions—our Patchnotes Spreadsheet looks like a CVS receipt.
We've rewritten large sections of content for accuracy, balance, clarity, and comedy (we've punched up so many of the jokes that my knuckles are sore).
We've added new artwork to sections that felt like they needed it, and updated a number of art pieces that we felt could be of better quality.
We've added all-new content, some of which is content we always intended on including but had to cut for space (Portable Hole Foods, my beloved), while others are brand new ideas that felt like natural inclusions (how did we miss making Gordon Ramsbane a full-on character in Restaurants & Retail? What were we thinking?!).
We've finally collected the books into a trilogy box set, with a shiny new slipcase (shout out to every single convention-goer who told us we needed to do this—turns out, you were right)!
If you're already familiar with the world of Murka and what each book has to offer, you can skip ahead to the Extras or Pledge Levels sections to see what we have for you this time around!
Each stand-alone book focuses on a specific subset of America's culture, allowing your party to explore everything from Holly Woods to Flavor City.
The first book we ever created, Arcana Americana, is designed to be a wide-reaching, across-the-board parody of all things America. We started work on this book in 2018, and it laid the foundation for everything that came after. Also, it has gunchucks.
In this book, you'll find subclasses like:
The Warlock patron, The Crowd, allows you to play a truly influential character. Who needs a Patron when you can have a Patreon? Complete with a Conveniently-Timed Apology ability, this is the perfect subclass for bending the masses to your will.
The Sorcerer bloodline, Affluenza: The "daddy's money" of sorcery. Use your family's generational wealth to your advantage, not just bending magic, but buying it—finally, a Pay-to-Win subclass for D&D.
The Barbarian primal path, Path of Gains. They always said, "No pain, no gain," but who said it had to be your pain? This lift-big, get-big Barbarian (often lovingly referred to as our Bro-barian or Babe-barian) can dual-wield heavy weapons, and drinks Brotein Shakes to unlock their Roid-Rage. Meal-prepping has never been this fun!
Additionally, you'll adventure to such wonderful locations as:
Holly Woods, Murka's premier entertainment nexus. Meet legally-distinct parodies of celebrities whose names we absolutely cannot write here (our lawyers told us no), and take down the overly-influential Church of Mythatology (a word of warning—they've got a powerful halfling leader who does his own stunts).
Sea-Addled, a beautiful, bustling city in the Northwest corner of Murka, home of the Warlocks of the Shore: the cult responsible for every edition of the world's most ancient texts, including the dreaded fourth edition. Also, the headquarters of the infamous Affluenza sorcerer Jeffar Bayzhoz, and his totally-not-evil, everything-corporation, The Zone.
With items like the stones of destiny, astral crystal rifles, and mountain mist, and with creatures like oil elementals and draguns, there's more freedom in this book than you can speak softly and carry a big stick at.
Our first major expansion and our biggest book to date, Restaurants & Retail, was developed during 2020 (good lord, what a year that was). This book does exactly what it says on the tin: if you've ever worked in food service, sales, or retail, you know what fresh hell awaits you within this book.
We've got subclasses like:
The Excellentus Custodes, a subclass allowing you to mop up the bad guys with righteous fury. Infuse your attacks with bleach powerful alchemical reagents to deal extra damage, and absorb area-of-effect spells to help keep your allies spotless.
The Wizard tradition of Gourmomancy, an entirely new school of magic focusing on the arcane abilities to transmute raw ingredients into delicious food. Gourmomancers can animate food, commune with cuisine, and if all else fails, make use of Maize's Marvelous Microwave to leave their foes well and truly cooked.
Two new Paladin oaths, Oath of Flavor and Oath of Deliciousness. While those who follow Flavor understand the sanctity of sharing balanced meals with their allies and the power that food has to bring cultures together, Deliciousness devotees believe in endless saccharine self-indulgence, pursuing their own personal tastes above all else.
Exciting new locales like:
Flavor City, home of gourmomancers and saucerers galore. The highest of the Order of Flavor, Guillaume Fierre, presides over the town of taste. Dozens of restaurants with complete menus, plus factions like the Court of the Colonel and the mysterious Benen Jerryzet monks, leave room for endless adventure.
Walmoria, an endless dungeon rife with ever-shifting aisles and a fully functional pharmacy. Make your stand against the Night Shifters, the Cult of Kaeren, the Manageri, and their leader: The Walrog. What better way to make a shopping session interesting than the threat of death—or worse, full-time employment.
Face off against Murka's oldest enemy: Capitalism. Make use of an entirely new school of magic with over 30 new spells, plus dozens of fearsome foes and over a hundred magic items!
The third installment of the major Murka trilogy is what we lovingly refer to as "our big, gay book." Written by a team of queer writers and artists, with a focus on Wall Street Glass Street sucking the culture out of New York City Magnamalus, this colorful book sheds light on queer history in America.
It includes subclasses like:
The Order of the Donor, a subclass allowing you to use your lifeblood to protect and heal your most trusted allies. Use your sanguine powers to give aid to those in need, transfusing hit points from foe to friend.
The Ranger archetype, Sky Birate: Redefining what it means to sail in high wind, these liberated, daring thieves make their homes in sky ships floating in the airways over Magnamalus, summoning salvos from their elemental air cannons.
The Wizard school of Economancy, yet another new school of magic, allowing users to manipulate the magical market. With spells like Adventure Capitalism,Conjure Cash Cow, and Economic Collapse, business majors everywhere can rejoice. Sure, it's casting with a cost, but all your material components are now tax-deductible, so there's that.
This book explores all the varied boroughs of Magnamalus, the big gay apple that never sleeps. The brass-hewn Magnum Bull of Wall Street seeks to amass all the wealth of the city for his shareholders at SHI-Tech, while simultaneously draining the color and culture from the city streets.
Unite with your friends to fight for the Weary, using all-new rules for building a community, operating a bodega, and even fighting in danceoffs with all-new ballroom combat.

Other Pledge Levels
We also have two other pledge levels for those interested: Retailer: This pledge level gets retailers access to our retailer-only Pledge Manager. We offer a 50% discount off of MSRP, plus flat rate shipping.
If you only want one or two books, or any of our add-ons, you can select this Pledge Level. This is also useful if you want access to the Pledge Manager after the campaign.
The world of international trade is... what's the right word... a fuster-cluck?
Between lingering supply chain hiccups, the Emperor's tariff shenanigans, and all the myriad other general chaos of global freight, making predictions on shipping costs and timelines is a challenge, to say the least.
Here’s our plan:
Printing starts ~2 months after the campaign ends.
Books ship ~4 months after printing (sooner if the Worlds-Wide Weave favors us - halflings, we need your feet feat).
Physical fulfillment handled by Studio 2 (they’re pros at this, and that means we don't have to ship out of my garage... again...).
Digital fulfillment handled by DriveThruRPG (no account needed, but if you're already set up with one, it will automatically be added to your library).
Shipping costs will be calculated post-campaign based on your location and final package weight. This should benefit backers in the long run, since locking in rates now could mean overcharging some backers or eating unsustainable costs ourselves (have we mentioned we're an indie studio?).
Current shipping estimates for just the trilogy (Not including VAT):
USA: $15
Canada: $40
UK: $60
No shipping to your country? Here are your options:
Digital-Only Tier: Get the PDF the very instant it's ready, plus plenty of digital goodies to boot! All digital PDFs will be fulfilled by DriveThruRPG.
Print-on-Demand (POD): We’ll provide a discount code for a physical POD copy, done through DriveThruRPG. This is super helpful if DriveThru shipping is cheaper (and it probably will be for international backers).
Wait for Retail: Studio 2 is handling distribution of our books, so you can ask your Friendly Local Game Store to pick up a copy from them just for you! You win, they win, we win. Our books will hit stores (and online shops) sometime after fulfillment.
We’ll keep you posted as we finalize regions and rates. We're not aiming to make any money off of shipping, and if we were economancers, we would just subsidize it. We're going to do everything in our power to keep shipping costs as low as possible, because Murka is for EVERYBODY.
