Header titled "The Game"
stylized text box like a video game UI with the text: Main Scenario #1 [Fight For Your Life] Clear Condition: Prove you have what it takes to be a player in this game Reward: Prizes based on participation Penalty: ???"

Bring Down the Stars is a duet TTRPG about tragedy, survival, and rebellion. In this portal invasion fantasy, one player will take on the role of larger-than-life celestials, turning the world into a death game for their own entertainment. The other will become the overpowered protagonist that risks breaking the world in their struggle to save it.

As the Game Master, construct terrifying challenges that will push your player to their physical and emotional limit. Pander to your otherworldly viewers, each tuning in with their own expectations of what makes a good show. Enforce the rules with violence if necessary. And above all, ensure that no one spoils the fun.

As the Player, fight through a series of increasingly lethal scenarios. Banish the parasitic Stars that treat your friends like pawns in their hands. Hold on to your humanity, even as each new tragedy threatens to crush you. If you can win this game, then maybe you can save the world.

A brown-skinned woman with light brown locs stands with her back to the viewer, looking over her shoulder. She is holding a large sword with the point down and out of frame. The title "Bring Down the Stars" is above her head in white text. The background is a ruined cityscape with the night sky visible between two broken buildings. Several shooting stars streak downwards in the frame.

Media Touchstones
Bring Down the Stars takes inspiration from the portal invasion fantasy manhwa Solo Leveling and Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint, as well as overpowered protagonist comics as a whole. It also draws from the kind of death battle games seen in Battle Royale, The Hunger Games and The World Ends With You.
