May was a slow month for Mausolympics, but June proved productive enough. The zine and other print files (map and minis) are finished and have already been sent to print.
Schedule
Mausolympics is delivered along with the rest of Mausritter Month's group shipping. So expect shipping for January 2027.
But what about digital fulfillment? I'm still finishing the digital files. Not only the zine PDF (lighter than the print version, with spreads version, bookmarked and linked), but the sports sheets, the print-at-home maps, and VTTs.
I still have to nail down a date for the digital release. I'll keep you up to date.
VTTs
Virtual Tabletops are a recent inclusion in Mausolympics; I think I didn't discuss their inclusion until now. It feels only natural to give online players a way to play with their long-distance friends, right? Expect something along the lines we used in the Actual Play.
NPC introduction #1: High Priestess Mona
This is the first NPC introduction, only for backers.
The text is almost done. It needs some proofreading, of course, but the only thing missing is the statblocks for the NPC athletes.
The layout is almost done, too. All sports were finished by the end of the campaign, but the introductory chapter and the new teams chapter will need some tweaking. So the layout should be done by May because...
Art progress
...Art is done! Last week, Elena Morgado finished all the interior art, and I couldn't be happier with the result. I'll show you a glimpse of the 8 characters she illustrated below.
Feathertail Triathlon
With the rules finished, the Flights of Fancy team is working on the layout and game board art. I have to tell you that the game is fun and hectic, and the layout and art are great!

Long time no see! Sorry for keeping you in the dark since the end of the campaign 🙏 Mausritter Month was kind of a pause for a lot of other things in my life, and they all came crashing back when it ended.
Anyway, the work done paid out, and Olympia's monks are setting everything up for the Mausolympics.
Zine progress
By the end of the campaign, the text was 90% done. What's left? The teams' excerpts and the athletes' stats. That's it. Then, a revision of the introductory chapter—and an editorial review, of course.
Art progress
We're almost done here:
Sarabel's maps were finished during the campaign.
Last January, Francisco also finished all the paper minis.
As per the interior illustrations, Elena is waiting for the instructions for the seven champions' illustrations. Every other illustration is done!

Feathertail Triathlon
I'm still working on the triathlon and expect to have my part done this month. I'm deep on the fourth rules iteration (I hope it's the last), and then I'll write them down for my mice friends on Feathertails Falls to make the art and layout.
Remember that only the ones who backed both Mausolympics and Flights of Fancy will have access to the triathlon.

I took a much-needed weekend off to rest after this Mausritter Month marathon. I’m incredibly thankful for being part of this event and the overall Mausritter community.
But, above all, I’m thankful to each one of the 168 backers who believe in this project. I can’t wait for you to have fun with Mausolympics. I’ll keep you posted about the development. Until then, again, thank you!
We've just unlocked the third stretch goal, Meet the champions.
Mice (and rats) from all over the mouse kingdoms gather in Olympia for the games, including those from Rolling Coast, Tales from Behind the Ferns, and Hell in a Hog Waller. Our cover and interior artist, Elena Morgado, will create an illustration for each of the seven rival teams' champions.
We have no champion illustration to show yet (she's too busy making more art), but check the last update if you want to see how the project's going.
The next goal: More content
We're in the last 22 hours, but we can smash the fourth stretch goal! More content brings a collection of random tables with hooks, events, NPCs, items... A toolbox for making your stay during the Mausolympics games a time full of adventure, surprises, and even intrigue.
