Absolutely! If you're new to the trilogy then backing 'War Heart' (Book 1) is a great way to start the adventure. If you're already read Books 1 and 2, then you're more than welcome to grab 'Dark Fang' (Book 3) only.

It is! If you'd like me to ship print books or provide eBooks for 'War Heart' and 'Scales of Fire' to you in Jan/Feb 2026 that's no problem. Then, later in 2026 I'll send you 'Dark Fang' when it's completed :)

As I type this, Books 1 and 2 and already available :) Book 3 (Dark Fang) is what I'm working on now - it's scheduled for a 2026 release. Ideally, May 2026 but it may be a little later. I don't want to lock in an exact date just yet, and end up having to push that date back. But once I'm confident in an exact date for Book 3, I'll announce and then meet that date :)

Short answer: Yes, it is - and yes, I will :D Long answer: Even before the US tariffs, shipping from here in Australia to anywhere else in the world was expensive. For this project, shipping will obviously be calculated as part of your pledge, so it won't be a 'hidden' cost, as it were. Just a somewhat higher cost than I'd like to offer. However, there is a cheaper work-around. I can 'drop-ship' the book(s) to you, directly from printing plants located on your continent. Drop shipping will save double handing - avoiding the cost of me printing books here in Australia, shipping those books to me, and then shipping them to you. The downside to this is that it's harder for me to personalise your books and add fun extras. (But! Even if you choose the cheaper shipping, I can offer signed bookplates, bookmarks, etc and send them to you separately).

In short, I can sign the books or I can sign bookplates, whichever you prefer. Of course, one option will be more expensive than the other, due to what amounts to double-handling when it comes to shipping. BackerKit Crowdfunding is an all-or-nothing collaborative funding platform. Creators share their project ideas and set a funding goal with a deadline. Backers pledge money to help make the project possible.

If the project meets its goal by the deadline, pledges are charged and the creator moves forward. If it doesn’t, no one is charged.

Pledging in crowdfunding is a commitment to support the creation of a new product or project. Unlike a traditional purchase, you're not buying an item that already exists. Instead, your contribution helps bring a creative idea to life, and in return, you typically receive rewards (such as the product itself) as a thank you for your early support.

Only the project creator and the BackerKit Support Team can see your pledge and contact information. Other backers and the public cannot see your individual pledge amount or personal details.

You can change or adjust your pledge level and add-ons before the campaign ends. After the project concludes, cancellations or changes are at the creator's discretion and may depend on what stage the project is in.

Overtime Mode extends your campaign past its original end time to give backers a final chance to make their pledge. It will add an additional 10 minutes past the end time as long as pledges keep coming in. The campaign will end when there is a 10-minute period without any new pledges.
