Project Update: T-Minus 64 Hours Until Launch: Mars and Early Bird Reward

Hi there Space Adventurers!

We're just a little under three days until launch and we have a few extra surprises in store!

First off, if you haven't gotten the chance to see the other updates or aren't following the campaign yet, click here to get to the launch party page!

Now it's time to head off to Mars! (We're skipping earth for now, but we figure you know a good deal about that place.)

Mars has TWO moons and is the first planet in our Solar System with multiple moons! But the moons, called Phobos and Deimos, aren’t round. That’s right! They’re actually more potato shaped because they don’t have enough mass to become spherical.
(We do not recommend eating planets, moons, or even space stations the size of moons)
  • Mars is only about half the size of Earth, but has a day that almost matches ours at 24.6 hours! Mars also has a similar access tilt and even has seasons.
  • Mars is home to the largest volcano in the Solar System, Olympus Mons, which is three times the size of Mount Everest and has a base the size of New Mexico.
  • Mars is the most frequently visited planet in our Solar System! We’ve sent roughly 50 missions to Mars, including the Rovers, though sadly more than half of the missions were failures.

Speaking of Rovers, we also would like to take this time to introduce our Early Bird Reward! A 1.5-inch pin of the Perseverance rover!

Design Not Final

Chibi Perserverence here is just a draft, but he'll be ready just in time for the campaign! Make sure to follow the campaign to get updated ASAP on launch day! Everyone who backs within the first 48-hours will receive this free 1.5 inch pin along with their pledge.

Thanks so much for travelling the stars with us! Stay tuned for more pre-launch surprises in the next two days!
