In an effort to be transparent and clear up any remaining confusion, my decision to ultimately cancel and refund this project was not solely over a dispute of artistic rights. MidnightSprings insisted that I send the project funds to her personal accounts instead of her business paypal.
I still stand by my decision to cancel this project - not only for my rights as an artist, but also for the safety and protection of backers who chose to support this project.
With final regards to the dispute of my septum ring design, MidnightSpring stated with no ambiguity or room for discussion that she would be retaining the rights of my design. This design currently has a sample mold that I personally paid for out of pocket, and I still do not give her permission or the rights to use the mold or make reproductions of the design. Regardless on whether or not it would be repeat variants.
Again, while it is disappointing to cancel the project after a successful campaign, this decision is in the best interest of my business and the backers who pledged money for this project to be properly managed and fulfilled.
Refunds have been started and are processing. They will be posting within 5 - 7 busines days. I will double check tomorrow to make sure that things are working correctly on my end.
With unfortunate news I'm announcing that I will be refunding everyone on this project. For the sake of transparency I wanted to make everyone aware ; Because of a personal issue, midnight springs has decided to demand resell rights to my design. I don't agree to this request to claim design rights because while she did half of the 3d mock up for manufacturing reasons, I did the other half when I had a better understanding of what the manufacturer was needing to make the mold. As such I paid for my samples of the roses nose rings to be produced.
I will be refunding everyone who backed for this campaign. I thank everyone who supported us, but I no longer feel comfortable hosting this project because of this.

There is a 2-week gap between campaign end and receiving funds. Currently we have 4 errored payments totaling around $150. If all are still errored pledges by the end of that 2 week period, we are having to cut into our buffer in getting the 2nd colorway set produced. That is not necessarily a problem, but you will not be able to receive your pledge even if you fill out the survey if you do not fix your payment by the time of fulfillment. I hate to emphasize it like that, but there are always people who fill out the survey but never pay, it just happens all the time.
Thank you again! Production will officially "begin" once the payment is secured and then the invoice paid. The 16G version of the Sakura and the faux version of the Roses still needs to be made, but that estimate was factored into our presumed timeline already, so hopefully it does not take long.
The stretch goal of the Black Thorns and Red Roses (in both 16g clicker and faux) & the Gold Sakura (in both 16g clicker and faux) are both unlocked now!
Silver and Purple Roses, Black and Red Roses, Rose Gold Cherry Blossom & Gold Cherry Blossom. All of these in both 16gauge clicker bars as well as the faux. 8 different choices to choose from!
The pink cherry blossom and the silver and red roses are the next stretch goal, which is about 800$ away now.

Hey all, we are entering the last week. In the last ~2 weeks, the campaign has not moved at all (which is unfortunately normal for crowdfunding, generally regardless of marketing they don't move much outside of each bookend 48hrs). However, we are less than $300 from the stretch that unlocks gold sakura and black + red roses, and the stretch that is now pink sakura and silver thorns with red roses would be at $2,400 (about $1.5k from where we are now).
SG 2 will be similar to these!
We have enough campaign followers that it's possible to hit both of those goals if we get an influx of backers before end - so please spread the word if you're interested! We have both effectively been shadowbanned for quite some time now and unfortunately our social media audiences are not what they used to be. Solo, raising funds for the other colors would be difficult and low priority as this order will have to be placed ASAP and can't wait for more colorways to be unlocked gradually. As a result, there will not be a preorder store for locked stretch goals. Logistically it is unfortunately not possible. So this is our best shot!
