I'm in a bit of a pickle regarding Remi and the squishy toy that would be going into his brain pouch and we have a few scenarios.
A ) Everyone pays an extra $5 with their Remi to add-on the squishy toy + whatever shipping will be with the added weight.
Cons: I have not seen the squishy toy that they sourced in person. I cannot vouch for the quality or longevity.
B ) Everyone sources their own squishy toy. I will provide dimensions for the squishy toy to help people find the right fit.
I have several concerns, however:
1) I mentioned I have not seen the squishy toy, and I do not want to put it up in the shop and end up with negative reviews if it ends up not meeting peoples standards (or is in fact just easily busted).
2) The squishy toy could potentially burst/pop, which could potentially ruin your brain pouch. I don't know, but it is possible.
3) It will add more work into adding another SKU for the possibly questionable squishy toy.
4) If I wanted to source a good squishy, see it in person, and be able to vouch for it, it would delay the project even further.
5) The pouch I currently have is partially stuffed, so it's difficult to tell with certain squishy toys that they're even in there, such as: Water, that foamy goo type. The best squishy I've found for it so far is thick, dense gel type, like the needoh ice cube/water drop. ** I asked for a modified pouch: no stuffing, slick liner inside for easier stuffing and a tighter fit to the squishy toy. That being said, in order for me to the see the sample we would have to continue the manufacturing process, rather than start working towards locking surveys, which I really don't want to do.
All of these thoughts have led me to scenario C.
C ) Everyone receives Remi with a this current brain pouch, which is very cute, partially stuffed and would make a great coin purse/candy storage/charm storage/and more. You could also definitely still try to stuff a squishy in it, if you wanted to. But it will be advertised as empty.
- Then for Series 2, when we have a little more time, we can have a brain 2.0 pouch manufactured that would better fit the squishy and wouldn't slow down this current project.
