The wait is almost over for the Wooly Mammoth action figures! As of this post, the Mammoths have left the factory and are on their way to the US and UK where the bulk of the fulfillment will take place. I have a full update on the fulfillment status so read on for all the details as there are some notable changes from last time.

Status as of this post: The departure date from the factory was set back by about a week, but the affect on the schedule is negligible. It is important to note however that we've expanded our China fulfillment to includeAustralia and New Zealand in an effort to build toward fulfillment of all regions normally served from the US, as these are the next closest regions. The previous round of China fulfillment went very smoothly and we're ironing out methods to make this process as seamless as it is from the US for our future assortments. I apologize for the back and forth about the fulfillment origins, but as we all know, this has been a crazy year for navigating global trade so it's become necessary to re-evaluate the strategy every few weeks. That being said, I feel this is the best plan given the current circumstances.

The ZOIC Kickstarter campaign was fully funded in its first ten hours and has two stretch goals unlocked as of this posting. The game spans across all of our 'zoic' brands- Mesozoic, Cenozoic, and Cyberzoic, which different play options such as paleo, sci-fi, and 5 and up!
The ZOIC TCG Kickstarter campaign ends this month, on Oct. 23rd. We'll have more sets available later, but this will be the only way to lock in the lowest price and get the exclusive gold color coin!

New fulfillment dates due to extended tariff pause in the US, plus a first-look at the new package designs!
Hi All,
I wanted to send a quick update with some important information regarding recent changes to our upcoming fulfilment plans.
In light of yet another recent change to the US tariffs on Chinese imports, and after careful consideration, I’ve determined that the best way to proceed with the Mammoth fulfillment is to continue the majority of our fulfillment from the USA.
While I had mentioned previously that my intention was to have the main fulfillment from the US, as of the past couple months, our recent delivery dates had all been based on the strong possibility of fulfilling preorders from China via duty-free shipping, which was going to be slightly more cost effective and would forgo the 4-6 week transport time to our US warehouses. With the previously looming tariff expenses of 54%, we would have had no better option. However, with the news of this new tariff pause, our entire strategy has had to be reworked (again). While the current 30% tariff is still substantial and will ultimately impact our MSRPs (more on that later), it does create enough of an incentive for continuing our main fulfillment from the US. I realize that many of you were looking forward to receiving these items sooner, so I sincerely apologize for the additional wait time.
Recent Tariff news
For anyone unaware, the US has extended the delay for the China tariff increase as of Aug. 12th, for another 90 days, which means that it will hold at 30% for at least the next three months. Because of this, fulfilling the majority of our preorders from the US still remains our most reliable and most economically viable option.
In the event that this assortment is delayed past the extension date of Nov. 12th and tariff here increases, there may be yet another change to the fulfillment strategy, but if that were to happen, I'll surely keep you all posted here as soon as I have news.

Of all of the items we currently have in the pipeline, the Mammoths have had the least number challenges and all is moving along smoothly thus far. That being said, with the latest tariff pause playing a factor in the final delivery dates, most customers are now expected to receive these in the first half of November instead of late September.

And on that note- while we never like to give news of delayed reward fulfillment, the silver lining is that the preorder prices will remain available for a bit longer. I also want to confirm that due to these new tariff expenses, it has become necessary for us to increase the MSRP (Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price), for these new items once they're in stock, by 5%. But the current preorder prices will remain unchanged. For anyone still looking to preorder, you can find all of these items either on our BackerKit preorder store, or on our main web shop at creative-beast.com.
Please note that as of this update, all preorder listings have been updated with these new estimated delivery dates and final MSRPs.
With the Mammoth production now underway, we can show the box layouts for the new Complexly variants, which will be exclusively for those that ordered though BackerKit. These will also include a unique collector card and environment background insert as well.

One last thing I'd like to mention is that we still have 137 backers who've yet to complete their BackerKit survey, and 54 backers with declined credit card payments. This is only for the campaign backers, not the regular preorder backers. There's still plenty of time to fix these issues, but I just wanted to mention this. Hello again Everyone! I hope you all are well. We have Mammoth news so let's get right to it! BackerKit Survey lockdown I wanted to send out a quick update today to remind everyone that TOMORROW, May 16th, is the lockdown date for the Prehistoric Mammoths surveys! This is the last call for add-ons (including the exclusive Snowy 2-pack) and to submit your mailing address, though you can modify it in the future by request at any time before the fulfillment period. Cards on file for post-campaign add-ons and shipping will be charged tomorrow around noon EST. So if you need to add anything else, now is time to lock the items in at their absolute lowest price.
Tariff Update And in the latest tariff news- we fortunately saw the China tariffs paused, dropping recently to 30%, down from 145%, for at least the next 90 days. Considering how far along these Mammoth figures are now I think it's within reason to expect these to ship from the factory within this window. After exploring some fulfillment alternatives, I've decided to keep our main fulfillment in the US, with UK and EU fulfillment shipping from the UK as usual. There will be no adjustments or added shipping costs due to tariffs for backers or anyone who's preordered. However, I should mention that preorder and standard prices could still increase for upcoming releases by as much as 10% in the near future. But, whatever price you've purchase at, you'll be locked in at that price with no additional costs for tariffs. Now, onto the stars of the show- the Wooly Mammoth action figures!
We have Test Shots! Our very first Mammoth test shot figures are in and are looking fantastic! For those unfamiliar, 'test shot' is a term used for the first plastic-injected figures after the completion of steel tooling molds. By shooting the liquid plastic into the new molds, the molds are tested for any injection issues (hence test shot). You can usually spot a test shot by its unusual coloring, which is a result of the factory using whatever leftover plastic beads they have on-hand from recent projects. This makes each test shot a unique one-of-a-kind piece!

These test shots are a great first attempt in action figure form, but as expected, they aren't without a few flaws.
The most obvious one (to me) is that the bendy wires are not present in the trunks yet, but that step may have been left out on purpose if they're just testing the molds.
Some of the range of motion could be pushed further like on the jaw and elbows specifically. Disc joints in the front legs (arms) are also very stiff.
And the alternate tusks for the large 1/18th scale adult have not been completed yet, so we only have the standard ones to show for now.
These notes have been passed along to the factory to improve the next set of samples. It's all part of the process.
This one is indeed a big boy, coming in at well over 3.5 pounds! (1.64 kg). And no, I didn't spill tamale sauce on its belly- it's a marbling pigment mixed in with the white. Very unique!
Baby Wooly Mammoth (calf) The simplest of the three figures and possibly the most adorable action figure we've made so far. This little one functions perfectly! Despite its small size, it still packs a lot of articulation and expressive movement.

1/35th scale adult Wooly Mammoth While smaller in stature, the 1/35th version will be the one to 'play' with. Maintaining all the same articulation as the larger version, this one is sure to be one that you won't want to put down. The smaller size makes posing a breeze. So many tusk combinations! Overall, these are pretty great and function very well for a first pass.

BackerKit lockdown postponed, Tariff update, and 1st package art reveal!
Lockdown date extended!
Greetings! In my last update, it was announced that tomorrow, April 18th, would be the lockdown date here on BackerKit for submitting address information, payment information, and making final selections for your order. After lockdown, cards would be charged for shipping and any additional add-on items. As of this writing, 79% of the backer surveys have been completed. Please contact me if you're having trouble accessing your survey.
Addressing the real 'Elephant in the room'
In light of the recent global developments involving tariffs, I’ve decided to postpone the lockdown date one more month to May 16th. With this situation still seemingly being unsettled, the hope is that we’ll learn more in the coming month regarding how the tariffs will actually effect our situation. As I’m sure you’re all aware, our production factory is located in China, like nearly all action figures, so the new tariffs pose a significant challenge for everyone in our industry. Despite this, we still have every intention of moving forward and delivering these figures as intended. If delays become necessary along the way for any reason, I’ll make an announcement here in a future update as well as on my social media channels.
The main reason for the lockdown postponement is a possible adjustment to the shipping costs as we currently look into potential fulfillment alternatives outside of the US. Please know that our preference still remains to ship the bulk of our orders from the US as usual, but we are now obligated to explore all contingences. Depending on the location of our primary fulfillment, some shipping rates may increase while others decrease. Again, this is not a confirmed change, but if this does become necessary, I will be sure to update you all on what to expect and how this affects the shipping costs. In any case, I expect to have more news on this in future updates.
Current Project Status As for the current status of the project. The tooling stage is finishing up now and I expect to have new test shots to show within the next few weeks, so stay tuned!

In the Story section of the campaign, it says that if you order certain figurines, you'll receive free rewards from Eons. The most recent update says that the rewards will ship in January/February 2026, but it is nearly the end of February and I haven't received any news since then. I never even received a survey regarding what my item preferences were. When can we expect Complexly to reach out? It's been months since my mammoth rewards were delivered, and I can't deny I'm disappointed that my freebies haven't been fulfilled yet.
