Project Update: Punk is Dead nominated for a CRIT award, plus new expansion news!

Hey there,

I'm just dropping in with a few bits of news, so please do try get to the end of this email!

First up is that Punk is Dead has been nominated for a CRIT Award under the Best Indie TTRPG category. That's on you for helping me make this a thing in the first place. But, there is still more you can do. Please go give us a vote over at: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSf8YSKrjEei20hfNnH1TgJ3MgeNoTcjEcEuT_zaOVWHASuCXQ/viewform

There's a ton of other great categories and projects to vote for whilst you are there, but you only need to vote for the ones you care about.

On the one hand, awards are bullshit, on the other hand they help me keep writing games.

Next up, is news about the maps. I've been on the road for the past month at various conventions, but I believe they are now in our possession. I'm back in the office tomorrow, so I will begin planning getting those out to you.

And another thing! Punk is Dead is now going to be part of the Music is Hope trilogy and I am launching the second title, Folk Hero on BackerKit on July 1st. Please signup here to get notified when we go live.

The books will match perfectly for those of you who embrace the collection side of the hobby.

This book will include standalone solo play rules as well as new fascists, playable roles, lore and gigs. But, for me, the most exciting news is that the estate of Woody Guthrie has given us permission to use some lyrics in the book. The book will also lean heavily into UK folklore, brought into our post-apocalyptic setting.

Okay, that's all I have for you right now, but I will be back in a few weeks to let you know about the third book in the trilogy scheduled for 2026 release.

Stay punk!
