Erwick is an old and listening land. Shrines nestled all around you, forests whisper in the wind, and markets bloom with song. This campaign is not about winning or losing, it’s about how your choices affect you. Every journey becomes a memory, and every memory becomes legend.
This game is built to how you want to play! Venture alone with guided prompts and structured oracles, share a duet story with a partner, or gather a full table of friends for a traditional campaign. This system supports each mode intentionally with no compromises and no need for a game master (unless you want one)!
However you choose to journey the region of Erwick, the world responds to you!
New goals stand before you, each one a milestone that expands the world of Legends of Akeroth. As the campaign grows, so does the scope of what can be created. Think new kins, classes, and adversaries. Every stretch goal is designed to benefit you and deepen your experience.
All the mechanics in this campaign are built to feel intuitive, fast and deeply satisfying. The system always keeps momentum high while still delivering tactical depth. Here is the basis of those mechanics:
A fast, intuitive dice system using small d6 dice pools and clear success thresholds.
Use a standard set of dice for damage with a single roll resolution system.
Easy initiative. Heroes always act first, in any order, encouraging teamwork and tactical discussion.
Tactical Grid Combator streamlined Zone Combat for classic JRPG-style encounters.
Duels resolve decisive 1v1 clashes, while Fieldcasting reshapes the battlefield with fully custom spells.
HP, Spirit, DEF, and Statuses create crunchy, readable combat without slowing play.
Limit Breaks turn desperation into spectacle, just like your favourite classic RPGs.
Every rule is designed to keep the story moving forward while making combat feel cinematic, dangerous, and earned.
Magic flows through the same intuitive dice systems, allowing you to shape elemental blasts without memorizing spells. In combat, casting is one of your two actions, with options to enhance range or intensity of limit break spells.
Choose from 6 different aspects of magic and easily customise your spells on the fly to create truly unique spells every time. With over 120 base spells to choose from, you are only limited by your own imagination!
Your character is the center of the story waiting to be told. Who will you decide to be in Legends of Akeroth?
Pick from twelve Kin types, offering distinct traits and perspectives. Will you be a Panthara who moves like poetry along ruined walls and rooftop gardens? Or will you choose to be a Burrower, who are the unseen hands beneath Erwick’s farmlands.
The Kin you pick is the foundation of your story in Erwick.
A Class defines how your character interacts with the world. Every adventurer begins with one Class out of the six available. As you grow, you can learn others, blending strengths to create something entirely your own. You aren't limited to a set level and can mix any classes together to make your own unique build. Truly an infinite amount of customization!
Once you've chosen your class, pick from 4 Jobs within each class to specialise your character build. Become a key member of the party, but also utilise Limit Breaks that are unique to each Class & Job to turn the tide in battle!

No matter if you're playing alone or need to fill up the party, you can create new characters to help you in your adventure using the Guilds & Waymate system!
Have a player who is missing the session? Convert their character into a Waymate quickly and have them still take part, earn XP and level up then swap them back to a PC to continue playing!
Erwick is a land that was marred by the war that King Dravik led against the Giants. But as with all things, time does heal, and so Erwick rebuilt into the greatest kingdom in Akeroth. Explore it's multiple landmarks and meet colourful NPCs who will tell you the story of this world through unique dialogue.

But all is not well. Dravik's sword begins to call to it's master again, as an ancient song has brought darkness back to the land and somehow, King Dravik himself returns. It's up to you as heroes to discover the truth and put an end to Dravik, before it's too late.
Explore each landmark with unique activities, dialogue and purchasable items. Roll for events using a d100 to experience hundreds of scenarios across 6 different categories (over 600 unique events just for travel). Also delve into Dungeons and Shrines, using a simplified Site Generation system so that each one is unique!
Relive the fun of JRPG combat with a system that takes the tactical ideas from those games and brings it to the forefront. Make sure you pick the right weapon by using the Weapon Triangle to influence your power in battle and take up to 2 actions from a wide list of options!
Choose between classic Grid Combat or the Zoned Combat system to have a back and forth combat encounter that is much easier to track and manage!
Damage is easy to calculate! Simply roll your damage dice, if the left most die is a 1 you miss but if you hit the max value then it's a critical and it explodes! This allows you to stack damage almost infinitely, making those 9999 damage scenarios entirely possible!
Enemies are designed to be easy to run no matter the game mode you're in! Use their stat cards to quickly understand their roles in combat, the actions they might take, and their general behaviour. Just read the card and you will look like a tactical genius!
If you're playing alone, gm-less or just need a break from thinking then use the action tables and loot tables directly on the cards to determine what happens.
If you want a challenge then use the Bosses to spice up the game! Each comes with phases that occur after certain conditions are met to make them even more dangerous the closer you get to victory!

This campaign also uses Pay Over Time, this allows you to spread your cost across four payments on any pledge above £111 GBP/$150 USD. The first is charged once the campaign ends and then each month after that.
Please note, using Pay Over Time means you will not be able to receive any digital copies or content until your payments are complete. This also goes for the shipping of any items, if you have any payments outstanding we are unable to ship your product to you.

Terms and Conditions:
By pledging to our project, you understand that the final product may vary in some aspects from what is shown during the campaign. We are dedicated to delivering high-quality items, but changes in design, size, or content may occur.
Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds on collected pledges after the project end date, this also includes any Pay Over Time Pledges
By pledging you also agree to the estimated pricing for shipping provided above and agree to any changes they may incur.
As a backer you are also responsible for any Taxes, Tarrifs or VAT that may be incurred on the item. We will do what we can to mitigate this.
Shipping and Fulfillment Agreement:
By finalizing your pledge before the last address confirmation, you agree to our shipping terms. Ownership and risk of the package transfer to you upon its handover to the carrier. You are responsible for any import duties or taxes. Please ensure your delivery information is accurate.
Update and Confirmation Responsibilities:
Keep your email information up to date in BackerKit and stay informed through our updates. Tracking information will be sent to the email you provide. It's your responsibility to track and manage the delivery of your package. Non-confirmation of your mailing address by the final deadline will be deemed as your acceptance of complete fulfillment.
Communication and Issue Resolution:
We will contact you via email before distributing rewards. After making all possible efforts, we will move on to other business aspects.
Report any damaged or missing items to [email protected] within 30 days of receipt. For lost or misdelivered packages, report within 60 days of the shipping date for our follow-up or reshipment.
