✨ Demo 3: Friends in Shimin
In case you haven't jumped in yet, Demo 3: Friends in Shimin expands the Solo Adventure and introduces an entirely new way to experience encounters: Zoned Combat!
Instead of tracking squares on a grid, Zoned Combat divides the battlefield into three distinct zones:
Allied Zone: Your side's backline or safe zone Clash: The contested middle area where fighters engage Enemy Zone: The opposing side's backline
When both sides share a zone, that zone becomes an Active Battle - the hotspot where the action happens. This system is designed for faster encounters, better solo and duet play, narrative positioning, and easier enemy tracking. Your tactical decisions shift from counting squares to making meaningful choices about where you position yourself and when you move between zones. It's streamlined, intuitive, and keeps the focus on the heroic action rather than measuring distances.
