Project Update: January 2024
Hello everyone and happy new year!
Wanted to get you all some insight into where we're at for The Undiscovered Country manual. I decided to break down the difference between being "drafted" and "plotted" so you can see that main quest lines, main encounters, and some sub-quests or branch quest lines are fully completed whereas the drafting progress is for actually compiling and formatting in the manual itself in a presentable format.
The plotting progress may go through a couple iterations as the drafting process progresses, but should be relatively stable. The big baddies, main plot points and NPCs, factions, etc., are all in the plotting documents. The drafting is where they all get polished into manual format, appropriate loot, notes, lore, etc., are added as well.
We're on track so far for our timeline, and I'm pretty excited about the different creatures and places you are all going to see in this book.
Main quest line fully plotted? Yep.
Quest branches plotted? Yes, but we're working on adding a couple options. So maybe 80-ish percent on this. I expect it will fluctuate a bit as we finalize which branches work best.
Manual draft progress: 45-50%
Play testing: We have tested about 80% of the new creatures in various one off scenarios to test mechanics, CR, and overall functionality. Campaign playtesting of course will begin once the draft is done.
I will have another update for you in about a month, but please feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
In the meantime, we wanted to make you aware of two very cool project campaigns going on now, one by us and another by Leopard Print Press that looks very, very fun!

100 Hidden Rooms for 5e (currently already reached funding and some stretch goals)
This is a very fun -- digital only-- supplement for 5e. If you've ever had any of these thoughts as a GM:
- Running a new party through a dungeon you've used before with another party and wish you had something quick and fully ready to plug into it?
- Ever run through a manor or palace several times as the party keeps returning looking for new clues and you wish you had something new for them to explore?
- Ever had a cave or building be too small, or your players simply had great dice rolls and they obliterated it far too quickly?
- Did your players go to a different part of town and you need to make a whole building from scratch without making them wait?
- Or have you ever looked at a map and stared at the empty storage room shaking your head and wishing it was a cooler room?
Then 100 Hidden Rooms is for you!
