We’re excited to announce that we’ve started shipping campaign rewards! A huge thank you to our warehouse team as they work to get your rewards to you as fast as they can.
Our current plan is to ship all tier rewards before the end of November. Then we’ll take a break to complete our Light Day sale before shifting gears back to the add-ons. Expect add-ons to ship in 2027. If there are any shifts to this, we’ll let you know.

On September 4th, backers will no longer be able to update their shipping address within BackerKit. To ensure your rewards are delivered to the correct address, please check your pledge and update your information as necessary before September 4th.
Step 1: Go to backerkit.com and log in to your account.
Step 2: Click your profile icon in the top right corner of the page.
Step 3: Select “Your Pledges & Surveys” from the dropdown menu.
Step 4: Click on “Your Surveys” and locate the survey for Hoid’s Storybook Collection.
Step 5: Once inside your survey, within the “Shipping Info” section, click the “Edit Shipping Info” button to update your address.
If you are unable to update your address or need to make the change after September 4th, please contact oursupport team, who can help correct the address. As a reminder, add-ons ship separately from pledge rewards and may not begin fulfillment until 2027.
Digital rewards will be available starting on September 15th. You will receive an email with a link to your backer survey, where your rewards can be found. Digital rewards can be accessed at any time post-fulfillment within your backer survey. Please allow 24 hours before contacting support if you do not immediately see them within your backer survey.
Physical rewards will also begin shipping on September 15th. Once your rewards ship, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number. We’ve recently become aware that the EU instituted a €3 customs charge per tariff classification. Thank you to those who called that out to us. We won’t add those charges to your shipping. Instead, Dragonsteel will cover these new shipping fees. We appreciate all our international backers, and we don’t want you to incur additional financial costs.

Great news, worldhoppers: Production is on track for all books and merchandise! This means fulfillment is still on schedule and slated to begin early fall. To celebrate this, we wanted to share some final product samples with you all.

For those who chose to pay-over-time, final payments will be processed during the beginning of July. After your last payment is completed, your backer survey will be sent, and payment for shipping and taxes—where applicable—will be collected. Surveys will need to be completed promptly in order for our Dougs and chulls to deliver your rewards.

As a reminder, cards have already been charged and the refund deadline for this campaign was March 27, 2026. If you downgrade a pledge or remove add-ons a refund will not automatically be issued. You will instead have a credit applied to your pledge which can be used for other rewards within this campaign. Brandon will be hosting a livestream to celebrate the launch of Hoid’s Storybook Collection today (March 3, 2026) at 6:00PM MST (1:00AM UTC). We’re sure you can see the joyspren surrounding us as we share the news that our campaign is officially funded! Once again, we’re able to bring the magic of Brandon’s worlds to life because of YOU. As if getting four enchantingly illustrated storybooks wasn’t enough, Brandon’s newest secret project The Fires of December is an adventure we know you’ll love as much as we did. Remember that the gold foiling on each of the picture books and the printed edges for The Fires of December will only be available for purchase during the lifetime of this BackerKit project. You’ll want to act now to guarantee their spot on your Sandershelf!
Now is the perfect time to collect your ChasmFriend Blind Bag pins to be able to trade with other Worldhoppers and complete your herd. The price of these collectible cuties is only $10 during the project launch, but will increase after the campaign closes.

A story doesn’t live until it is imagined
To celebrate the launch of Hoid’s Storybook Collection, we want to invite our backers to join in weaving a non-canonical Hoidian tale. Hoid’s Worldsinger Symposium is our new Stormlight-infused collaborative storytelling experience! Join the beloved Worldsinger’s ranks as you and other backers come together to tell a story of your own in the Collaborative Narrative. A writing prompt has been given on the Hoid’s Worldsinger Symposium tab of this project. Every day until the close of this campaign, you will have a chance to add to the narrative. It’s up to you Worldsingers to determine whose response is the best, as the entry with the most likes will be added to this storybook of your own creation! We will accept one submission per day, based on votes. If the content of a submission does not comply with our terms and conditions, it will be rejected.
The symposium will also include a Worldsinger Gallery! Send your fan art inspired by the Collaborative Narrative you’re creating via the submission link found within the Symposium. As long as your art adheres to our terms and conditions, we will feature it in our Worldsinger Gallery. Artists are allowed up to two art submissions during the campaign. Select art submissions, as well as the completed narrative, will be included in a free digital release entitled Hoid’s Worldsinger Symposium: Anthology.

Today’s fulfillment day and I’m very excited for it! The emails say that digital fulfillments will begin going out today, does that mean I should be getting access to the eBook soon? Or is that referring to other digital rewards?
Out of curiosity what is the difference between the various #1 & #2 versions of the epub available to download?
