The 7 Sinful Bugs rear out of the soils to bring a little bit of chaotic whimsy to your lives. This series of enamel pins is complimentary rival to the Biblically Accurate Bugs series.
I'm Jay, a small artist from the green isles of Ireland, with a love of insects and all things strange and crawly. This project is my first crowdfunding campaign, introducing a whole series of enamel pins based off the 7 Princes of Hell with a twist of insects.
The 7 Sinful Bugs are a direct opposite and complimentary collection to my Biblically Accurate Bugs enamel pin series. Once both projects are complete, then the entire collection will be finished.
While this is the first crowdfunder I am leading myself, I have previously produced 6 enamel pin designs by self funding means (5 Biblically Accurate Bugs, and 1 personal pin), as well as starred as a guest artist during the Pride Angels campaign led by UltraInfinite.
The main funding goal of the compaign is to cover three of the most expensive pin designs. Their special effect platings is what's affecting the higher costs. Every other pin will be a stretch goal for the campaign. If we don't reach any stretch goals, the other designs will become self-funded in the coming months.
Prince of Gluttony
This prince is represented by a caterpillar- a creature that can grow an incredible amount in an extremely short amount of time while continuously gorging itself on food. This little bug demon has grown a second mouth to indulge in its favourite treats even more. It is based off the hornworm caterpillar, or tobacco worm moth.
It is 2 inches in size, featuring blue chrome metal with a swirl enamel effect on the tongue.
Prince of Sloth
Sloth comes within many names, in many forms, some of which may not even have a word for it. The sin manifests within all of us, at every moment, but often gets mistaken, misunderstood, used as fuel towards cruelty. This sin is represented by a slug and seaslug mix- mainly Chromodoriswillani. It is 2 inches in size with rainbow metal and a swirl effect on the mushrooms.
Prince of Wrath
Wrath, a sin encompassing many things, it hides even within the kindest of us. Wrath is a powerful entity, and one that often evokes the strongest feelings. This Prince is represented by a Pyrops Candelaria Planthopper, commonly known as a Lanternfly. It flies a war flag on its big horn, and holds onto its blade proudly.
Each funded pin will come with a 2 inch metallic sticker of the same design. This is also done with the Biblically Accurate Bugs. Any pins you order will come with a complimentary sticker, including items from the pre-order store or individually purchased pins.
Of course the 7 Deadly Sins wouldn't be complete without the other 4 sins!
Our main funding goal covers the most expensive pins, however there's still four other sins to cover. One of them is yet again another speciality pin, while the other three have simple metal platings.
Each pin has a new goal that needs to be reached before it's unlocked. And each pin comes with a sticker like the others. If a goal is reached, you'll be able to choose the unlocked pin(s) from your pledge survey. If they do not get reached, the pins will be made every couple months out of pocket- though progress may be slow.

Prince of Pride
Pride, a sin so tough to define, one that revolutionizes countries and destroys families. Pride can be both good and bad, can we used as a virtue and weilded as a weapon. This Prince of Pride is a loving queen bee with the body of a taur, a grin that captures stares, and all seeing eyes. It loves, is loved, and loves herself and her kingdom. Pride will be unlocked at €1,200. 2 inches in size with gold enamel and swirl effect on the honey dripping off her stinger.
Prince of Lust
Lust. A perfect stare to capture even the sinless and entice them with promises of carnal desires they cannot deny. Lust is represented by a Pink Rose Butterfly, with a powerful feminine beauty and a promise of something unique, something new. Lust will be unlocked at €1,500. 2 inches in size with rose gold metal and a glitter effect on the golden parts.
Prince of Envy
Envy. Oh envy. Oh they stare at the beauty of Lust and weep. They tear themselves apart in an endless chase for the beauty, the skill, for something better. A song never heard, a scream never mouthed. Their neverending cycle of trying to be something they are not, they become something worse, and let it consume them from the inside. This Prince is represented by a hawk moth, a bug often seen as inferior to butterflies. Envy will be unlocked at €1,800. 2 inches in size with silver metal and a swirl effect on the tentacles and eye.
Prince of Gluttony
Greed. It consumes you from the inside and the outside. To reach for something it cannot quite grasp, to be changed into a creature you can no longer recognise, a creature that amasses millions, and wants more. Only more. It becomes a leech, a puppet by the parasite that controls it- no longer seen as what they originally were. This Prince of Greed is represented by a Cordyceps parasite intercepting a tarantula. Greed will be unlocked at €2,100. 2 inches in size with bright red chrome metal and a swirl effect on the cordyceps.
This concludes the collection of the 7 Sinful Bugs.
However, this is not all. Our previous collection, Biblically Accurate Bugs is still unfinished, with only five out of nine choirs completed (which can be added in the add-on section of your pledge.) All of the five pins were self funded in the past 2 years. And we would be more than happy to bring the rest of them to life with this campaign and complete the entire Heaven and Hell collection.
These pins are yet to be designed, outside of a few sketches of course. These pins, if unlocked, will have the potential to be designed with the involved of YOU. The audience. With polls on designs and colourways. The previous angels were a group project too. This will be no different.
Each pin will be revealed as the campaign progress.
But what if we reach past the last goal? What if we unlock all the angels?
Do not fret.
There is one more...
With the last goal of €4,500. Lucifer will descend into Hell like the King he was meant to be. Just like the angels, there will be a possibility of voting and polls on this design. It may even be a much larger pin than the others. The extra funding between this goal will be able to cover any extra costs for special effects and complexity of the design.
More goals may be possible dependant on how the campaign progresses.

This Cuban Spiky Isopod is an imp of Hell. It will be 1.5 inches in size and engraved on wood in my office.
If you're looking to get a number of demon bug pins not included in a pledge level, worry not, you will be able to add extra pins in the add-on section. So if you backed for x3 pins but want 5, you just add 2 extra pins in the Add-On section.
For this project you can also add-on any of my past enamel pins to your order. These will be shipped together once the project is fully funded.
Add-on items are not part of the pledge, they can be added separately to your cart after you select your pledge. The Biblically Accurate Angels are only available as add-ons and not part of the original pledge levels.
There is also currently pre-orders happening for the above beetle angel pin in both nonbinary and intersex flag colours. This beetle was originally a guest design on the Pride Angels campaign organised by UltraInfinite. You can add these colourations to your pledge as well.
As well as pins, there will also be two bookmark designs for reader lovers! One a biblically accurate angel, and the other a galactic beetle. Each one comes with a randomly coloured tassel.
Provided everything goes smoothly, the production timeline will be as follows:

The timeline depends on when backerkit will release the funds, how many pins will be produced in the end and how long the shipment from the manufacturer to my office will take. I have counted generous time for the pins to arrive with me, however if there are any delays I will notify all backers immediately.
You can also join my art discord server for any minute details and updates and connecting with the community. All shop updates are posted there as well, as well as statuses on pre-orders, designs, wips, etc. There is no need to join the discord at all, but it is an option for those who enjoy little updates in real-time.
All items from my campaign will ship out of Ireland. This campaign is EU and UK friendly, as well as France and Germany. Essentially there are very few places I can't ship to. If you live somewhere and have a house, I'll deliver!
Usually my shipping is without tracking, however if you're purchasing more than 1 pin, I urge to choose the tracked option.
These prices are ESTIMATES. Prices may change if the postal service decides to increase prices at any moment and depends on how many pins you order. Small amount of pins will be shipped in bubble mailers, and larger amount of pins will be shipped in large envelope cardboard boxes. If you're buying flat items (stickers, bookmarks) they will be shipped in standard mail.

IMPORT FEES
We are not responsible for any import fees to your country, so if you feel like you may be charged import fees on your order, please keep in mind your postal service may send you information about it once the mail arrives to your country. This mostly affects international (non-EU) countries. Usually this is about 20% of the order price + shipping. Calculate accordingly.
ITEMS NOT ARRIVING
Refer to your tracking for all mail. If your mail is shipped with no tracking, it may take 1-2 months to arrive with you if the postal service is busy. Usually about 3 week wait time is needed. If your mail bounces back to me then I will contact you about it.
RETURNS & EXCHANGES
I do not accept returns on any items due to the difference in shipping prices between countries. If your item arrives damaged please contact me and we will discuss our options. Exchanges for your items can only be done before your mail is sent out.
You will receive a survey once the campaign ends where you'll have to pick your pins of choice according to your pledge. If you have any questions or changes like your address that need to be made please tell me know ASAP.
FORFEIT OF REWARDS
If you do not fulfill your survey by the time shipping is complete and do not respond to messages, you will forfeit your pledge and reward.
GRADING
All pins will be graded for any errors and mistakes. Please note that all pins are handmade and may have minor cosmetic imperfections even at A-grade status. You will receive A grade pins from this campaign to the best of my inspecting abilities.
RISKS & CHALLENGES
I have previous experience with making enamel pins, so I am familiar with the process and am in touch with my manufacturers before the campaign launched. There is always possibility of things being delayed on the manufacturers end, or the postal service being delayed during inspection. If there are any delays I will post frequent updates. There is always a possibility that there may be a major flaw in the pins, in which case they may need to be remade, this may also cause delays. However, I will do my best to update everyone on the process of the pins.
