I was estimating the pins to arrive next week after the small delay we had in getting Lucifer made correctly, but they somehow made it all the way from Germany to Ireland in ONE DAY so the two MASSIVE boxes have arrived with me last night! Wow

(excuse my messy room, look at how big they are compared to my bed, super heavy as well)

This means I have to go and sort through all the pins out now and check for quality!

But lads they are SO pretty. The chrome came out wonderfully, and these are the THICKEST backing cards I've ever seen.

Needless to say I think the postal workers would have to drive over these to bend anything during shipment (knock on wood knock on wood knock on wood)

It came out wonderful. I'm absolutely enamored with how this turned out, and I've learnt a lot about this process as well to apply to new projects.

So we're about 2 weeks delayed with these arriving, mainly because of the very early concept issues with Lucifer. But 2 weeks is much less than several months so we're still pretty much on track!

During these last few weeks I've been chipping away at the wooden freebies.
I engraved all the pins for my partner Toldentops a few weeks back and they just arrived with them yesterday too.

All of my freebies are almost done now too. I just need to get the last few engraved, all of them varnished, and then pin backs glued on.

(they kinda look like cookies and I want to bite them)

Once I quality check all the pins, which will take me a few days because I don't work on weekends, I will slowly bus steadily start rolling out packages. Which brings me to...

ADDRESS LOCKING.

Addresses will be locked in 48 hours.
This is an automatic process. So if in the next few weeks you know you'll be away, moving, or otherwise, please change your address to your new location, or a loved one's address that can pick the mail up for you.
A reminder that majority of orders will not have tracking either.

If your card failed at any point, I cannot fullfill your order or send it to you. If you still haven't fillled out the survey, I also don't have your address to send your pins out.

I will be rolling out mail steadily over a few days as I can't overload the poor 60 year old postal worker and the system that loves to break down if you breathe air on it too hard. If you order gets marked as sent, it will mean the shipping label has been generated and will be posted in the next few days.

Hello everyone!
Today I bring super exciting news that All Pins Are Now Complete!

I am particularly fond of the chrome ones myself- I fear this may become a new obsession...

Now that all pins are complete, they will be sent to me in the next few days, and I estimate about 3 weeks for them to arrive.
The production took a bit longer on account of Lucifer's initial concept issues, but I hope to start fullfillment in July still. Now I just gotta get a bunch of envelopes to jumpscare my family and beg my old retired postal worker in the countryside village not to unleash his greyhounds on me when I rock up with fifty mail to his desk....

I will give ye all a day or two of a heads up before addresses will be locked. So if you still have got to change your address... DO IT ASAP.

If you still haven't fixed your survey and payment issues, I urge you to do that as soon as you can as well.
I had an issue with my card provider paying for another campaign myself as well and I had to add my card as a duplicate because backerkit doesn't have electronic bank checks for fraud so some payments get auto stopped. A little bit of fiddling around but oh well!

If you don't fill out your survey and pay for shipping then your order will be considered as a donation as there's no way for me to send your items out otherwise.

Hello everyone! Here's a check-in with midway progress from the campaign and to see what's new.

Starting off, there is still some of you who are having card issues, please make sure you fix those with the help of backerkit if you need it so that you get your rewards! If you do not submit all the information then I can't ship your items out!

Addresses will be locked once I start shipping in JULY. So you can change it as many times as you need until then!

All pins have been counted, formatted, submitted and paid for at the end of April, so progress on them has been steady. Lucifer was the only one that had a sample done- and because of the techniques used on it, it takes a lot longer to make.

(Backerkit doesn't allow videos, so this is the best I can do!)

The sample has been approved and production on it has gone ahead now. I am estimating for the other pins to be finished before Lucifer will be, so they will wait to ship everything out once they're all complete (which means we'll get photos of the other pins before shipment!)

I also got all the freebie stickers in with me now :)

The wood pins I will start to make in June, as I am currently swamped preparing for Confuzzled Birmingham and Qcon Belfast in the coming weeks. They're not a high priority and won't take me super long to make.

I have fought tooth and nail with my manu's designer to get the Lucifer sample started on. It took a week of a gruelling battle... but we have succeeded.
The actual pin of Lucifer was very slightly altered to match the requirements of stained glass enamel (which are actually pretty restrictive!) It was a big learning process for me.

It's mainly the wings that needed to be changed as the membrane thickness was a big problem point for stained glass enamel. The metallic stickers will keep the old design though. Sample is currently in production and I hope it doesn't slow down the production too much but I will keep an eye on that!

As for the other pins- Everything has had its artwork finished, finessed, adjusted for pins, and the design documents made for my manu. I will be sending them all to be made this week as the majority of you have filled out your surveys and I have accurate enough counts for all the pins!

There may be very slight colour differences. While I have use a pantome colour palette for colouring the pins, some of the hues didn't exactly match pantomes, so there may be some discrepancies colour-wise. I did my best not to deviate too much.

I can also show you the backing cards.

Biblically Accurate Bugs keep their old design, and all Sinful Bugs will stay on this cute wee red one. I'm not entirely sure how I will back the wooden pins, but I am more than likely going to use home-printed kraft paper for those!
As for the pride angel bugs- I don't actually have a regular supplier that could print me similar sized backing cards without costing me an arm and a leg. And my regular business card printer doesn't do alternate sizing which is very unfortunate actually. I'm going to continue looking for a place that can get those done for me, but if I don't then they will come with the Biblically Accurate Bug backing card or a kraft paper backing card.

Currently waiting on supplies to arrive for the wood pins as well. I have performed maintanance on my laser machine last week so we should be good to go on making them now too.

Now all you need to do is make sure that you fill it out before April 24th- when the surveys get locked the only thing you'll be able to change is your address.

This is where your shipping will also be calculated! If your order is small you will get untracked shipping, if its big then it will be tracked.

There is now also a new pledge tier that you can switch to when you enter your survey. The All-In tier! Where you get one of everything that the campaign unlocked. (the button to switch tiers is right under the big green button when you first view the survey.)

I know some people were interested in this, and if you switch to this tier then you will still retain a small discount for ordering so many pins at once unlike if you ordered them all separately.

Sure! I have been rizzing up my manufacturer to get the Lucifer pin samples made for the past week or so. It's quite tough to speak in a timely fashion with them when the timezone difference is so insane. I got an image back from the designers, and... well.

Hopefully will get that figured out by tomorrow.
Either way, thanks to one little teeny tiny suggestion, Lucifer had one teeny tiny alternation that made all the difference.
The shade of red on the Cathedral variant was slightly shifted to the left and be more pinky. I think that makes it all the more solid in the end! So thank you for suggesting ;)

Now I will fight the uphill battle of pantome picking for the rest of the pins and creating the design docs.

Lucifer sample is going to take up to 25 days to make, and I have negotiated a shipping that isn't going to put a dent in my finances, but will take about 3 weeks.
With the sample unexpectantly taking this long, we are skirting on the very edge of our current timeline and the shipping out date of the pins. We should be able to stay on time, but if there are any hiccups or mishaps, I will let ye all know in May how the timeline is looking. Other pins don't need samples made, so they'll be going straight into production once the funds get released to em and I have solid numbers from the surveys and pre-order store. (That's April 24th!)

Oh and btw! This is going to be the size of Lucifer! 3.3 inches or 85mm across. Ain't that just a big boy! Size of my palm even! (my hands aren't very big though)
