Project Update: Time for Interviews

Hey everyone!

Quick update to share two recent interviews I did for VINTAGE RPG and TALK OF THE TABLE. If you're curious about how the game works, the design process, the decisions behind key mechanics, or the influences and inspiration behind it all - give them a listen. Huge thanks to Stu and John at Vintage RPG (one of my favorite podcasts!) for having me on, and to Brian and Elliot at Talk of the Table for a wonderful chat. I’d love to come back anytime!

STRETCH GOAL #2!

We are ~$1k away from the next stretch goal. Another glorious job for the crew coming up: robbing the Imperial State Crown from the Tower of London with a budget of $250,000. Complications include snipers on the roof, the King's Guard, ravenous dogs and bullet-proof glass display. Can you pull it off?!

THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
Andre.

Project Update: Stretch Goal "And You Get the Horns" UNLOCKED!

You did it!

First stretch goal UNLOCKED!!

Look at all these tools that every backer is now getting to plan their perfect heist for that triceratops skull at the Museum of Natural History:

Up next!

$33k - "Fish & Golden Chips"

The Tower of London. The Crown Jewels. The most famous security detail in the world. Steal them, and you’ll have the entire UK hunting you down—not to mention one very, very angry king.

Here's a sneak peak:

Thanks so much for the support and remember to share the campaign and help unlock this next goal!

Project Update: INFILTRATION DONE: WE'RE FUNDED!

And... WE'RE FUNDED!

Thank you all for the love and support - this means we've just completed Infiltration! Now let's move on to Deployment, just like we were playing the game itself. It's time to beat some STRETCH GOALS and UNLOCK MISSION ENVELOPES with pre-made jobs for the players.

First up is AND YOU GET THE HORNS, where the players shall be robbing a TRICERATOPS SKULL from the Museum of Natural History, NYC. Easy right? The thing weighs a 'casual' 350kgs. Inside the envelope you'll find a brief (detailing the job), an object card (depicting the target), a museum brochure (to help players visualize the location), a sample plan (if players fail under pressure, they can skip directly to the Action Phase), and fake cash (matching the budget).

The job’s just getting started.

Hi eveyone at Games Omnivorous and Exalted Funeral, I'm happy to see that project's going to fund soon, but it really took a while. So, I thought about what would have helped me to decide more easily (I did back the project, but still ...), which I would like to share with you. I haven't played The Job before, but it looks like a really fun idea. This indie RPG seems to something between an usual RPG and a boardgame. I can't quite imagine how it plays and perhaps that's the case for many more people who followed the preview page of the campaign (there were way more than 1.000). I think the campaign doesn not show enough from the game itself. Yes, the trailer is nice and atmospheric, but doesn't show the game at all. Yes, there's a free preview, but it's just the first few pages. You don't learn anything about the mechanis or how the game really plays. And people have to download it from EF. Why isn't it here? It's perhaps a too complicated user journey. Yes, I can see there's going to be lots of cool materials in the box, but you don't show me the game! There are almost no sample spreads from the book ot screenshots. So, personally, I feel like there is a marketing issue with this campaign. I don't say that to bash or shame you. I'm trying to share helpful thoughts. For me, the single most helpful thing to really jugde if I want to back this would be a fun actual play video. You say that a scenarion should run for 3h. That's doable in an actual play. Play the game, show us the creativity, and the unique mechanics! I feel like that would interest many more people. And if that's not possible anymore for whatever reasons, at least share some screenshots of sample spreads with your USPs from the game itself. I hope this is helpful. If not, I'm sorry. I hope will see those stretch goals fund, too. Best, Alexander
