Project Update: July update
Hello CSIO fans!
Here is an update as we work on this colossal boxed set.
Right now we're in various stages of development and editing. There are a lot of "original works" that we are adapting into new rules editions, so we'll structure this update with that perspective.
Wraith Overlord is written and edited for DCC and 5E. It's ready for layout.
The main "City-State proper" book is about 75% edited.
The Gazetteer book is about 85% written. There are few bits of the Citadels and Castles section still to be finished then it will be ready for development and editing.
There are a lot of dungeons in this boxed set. The Thunderhold, City State Dungeons, and Sunstone Cavern Dungeons are all written. The project leads are doing one more development pass to ensure consistency, then they will be ready for editing.
We'll keep you updated as we continue to wrangle these 1.3 million words of incredible content. And yes that's a real number - it's about 650,000 words for DCC and a tad more for 5E. Technically many of them overlap, since the "prose" is the same and only the "rules content" differs between editions. But each edition still requires its own development pass, editing pass, and so on. It's a lot of words to wrangle!
