Project Update: Author Spotlight 5 and Final Lineup!

Hi all,

Gray here with our final author spotlight, and our final lineup!

Our author spotlight today focuses on Luc Diamant, Camden Rose, Sunny Moraine, NEURO TOWER, and Claudine Griggs!

Luc Diamant is a Pushcart-nominated writer from Amsterdam, where he lives with his partner and child and their imaginary pets. By day, he works as a literacy coordinator. His writing has appeared or will appear in Scissor Sisters: an Anthology of Sapphic Villains, Clarkesworld, The Deeps, Small Wonders, Dark Moments, Roi Fainéant, and Tales to Terrify, among others. When not writing, he enjoys spending time with his family, watching the plants on his balcony grow, and thinking about lemurs. You can find him on social media @lucdaniel94

His work, "Teething Season" will be illustrated by Niamh Bennett.

Camden Rose is a queer author who loves seeking out magic beneath the everyday world. She can often be found at the ocean's edge taking notes on the local mermaid population. She lives in the Pacific Northwest with her spouse, black cats, and collection of books and board games. You can find her online at www.camdenscorner.com. Her current favorite short story is “In His Image” by R. Haven. She is honored to be part of this anthology.

Sunny Moraine is a writer of science fiction, fantasy, horror, and generally weird stuff with stories published in outlets like Tor.com, Clarkesworld, Lightspeed, and Shimmer, along with the novella YOUR SHADOW HALF REMAINS (Nightfire) and the story collection SINGING WITH ALL MY SKIN AND BONE. A PhD in Sociology, whose doctoral dissertation was on extermination camps, Sunny also writes, narrates, and produces a serial horror drama podcast called Gone. They live near Washington, D.C. with their husband and two cats.

Both "Picking My Body" and "Singing With All My Skin And Bone" will be illustrated by Toskarin.

NEURO is a Parisian student who has been practicing writing since a very young age. Suffering from psychosis, a major part of his work tries to make the reader question their grasp on the story until every twist unfolds. Multiple hospitalizations have shaped his writing, most of it being about some sort of alienation or isolation, and he doesn't shy away from trashy and harsh choices when writing. He hopes his writing evokes strong emotions in the reader, negative or positive. As for his personal life, he considers himself a transsexual and appears as stealth in real life - hence the use of a pseudonym. To him, being a man is shameful, but not being one would equal death. On a lighter note, his favorite things are: Lauren Bousfield and FREE.99's music, the manga Alice In Hell, and a few movies like Tetsuo: The Iron Man or 964 Pinocchio. He wishes more people would be willing to make weird art for the sake of art, art that appeals to the author first and foremost.

Claudine Griggs’ short fiction includes “Helping Hand” as an episode in the Netflix series “Love, Death & Robots."  Her novel, Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, appeared in 2020; a story collection, Firestorm, in March 2022; and the SF/fantasy epic, Dwarf Days, in June 2024.  Claudine is a member of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers Association (SFWA) and the Authors Guild.

"The Tumor" and "The Gender Blender" will both be illustrated by Mallory Wittholz.

Mallory Wittholz (they/it/she) is an industrial robot that has drawn its whole life. They prefer to work in inks, and are obsessed with the sharp details and solid forms of fellow machines of steel and flesh; their work has been featured in sci-fi and fantasy media such as the tabletop games Armor Astir and Beam Saber. They have also produced wall art appliques and limited-run collectables. In their spare time, Mal works with hobby electronics, codes, and scratch builds dioramas and figurines- currently, they are working on a writing and roleplaying project of their own. She lives in Kansas City, with moral support from her partner Ann and their cat Silverado.

Thank you everyone, have a fantastic weekend!
