Project Update: September Update
Hey folks,
As of about a week ago, everyone's wave one packages have been shipped. I reached out to a handful of backers who had problems in their addresses (usually a missing apartment number or street name) for clarification, so if you still don't have a tracking number for physical rewards, check your spam folder and/or email me at [email protected] so I can get your stuff to you.
So as previously mentioned in these updates, wave one shipping included:

So as previously mentioned in these updates, wave one shipping included:
- The Core Rulebook
- Q Workshop Dice sets
- the Miniatures
- and whatever books we had already published and had in stock (which excluded Ships of the Expanse).
The remainder of physical rewards:
Crew Companion, Daemon's Gambit, Free Navy Conflict, the Condition Cards, Character Dossiers, Campaign Journal, Norse Foundry Dice, and the Protogen Dice we offered as an early sign-up promo will be shipped at a later date.
Unfortunately we don't know when "later" is at the moment, because as of this update everything is currently on hold as we try to resolve the ongoing Diamond/Sparkle Pop lawsuit. We'll try to finish the things we already have art assets for that we can do in-house, but anything that needs to be contracted out to finish is paused while we try to recover and hopefully sell a bunch of copies of that Core Rulebook.
Work on the two VTT compendiums is continuing though! Jonesy has been hard at work getting those ready for release.
Here's an update from Chris Pramas on the lawsuit. This was posted to the GoFundMe page earlier this month.
Hi folks,
Well, I should have waited before posting last week’s update because mere hours later it was overtaken by developments in the case. I said that I wouldn’t feel comfortable until our long-held hostage stock is out of the Mississippi warehouse. True to form, the owner of the warehouse with all the consigned product in it, Sparkle Pop, is trying to torpedo the deal we made with the trustee. They filed an objection, so now there must be another hearing next month. Furthermore, they filed an opposition to our motion to inspect the warehouse. Their argument is that the state and numbers of the inventory are irrelevant to the case, which is simply ludicrous. They kept selling our stock after the judge told them to stop, so we need to know what’s actually there. Obstruct and delay, classic tactics in the American legal system.
My hope that we’d have the product back by Xmas is diminished. We need to see what the judge makes of all this in the upcoming hearing. We started this GoFundMe last July, and after fourteen months it’s still dragging on. The Diamond bankruptcy itself started in January of 2025, so we’re coming up on two years from when this headache began. Our group, the Ad Hoc Committee of Consigners, is still standing strong. Once more into the breach.

Heidi MacDonald over at The Beat had a pretty comprehensive article on Sparkle Pop's objections as well. Complete with links to court filings for those who enjoy staring into the Abyss.
So, if you have a retail game store near you, encourage them to carry The Expanse Transport Union Edition core rulebook, and maybe even offer to run sessions in the store to get folks talking about the game! Retailers typically don't carry anything that isn't D&D or Pathfinder unless there's a local player community to drive sales.
