Hello, backers.

I’ve spent the last two days in a mediation trying to end the problems the Diamond bankruptcy thrust upon us. Since my last update, Diamond reached out about trying this approach. Based on previous offers they made to us, we weren’t confident a realistic deal would be forthcoming, but this was at least an effort with a  court-appointed mediator. I can’t get into details in public, but I will just say that Diamond’s positions were completely untenable for the Ad Hoc Committee of Consigners (the group of companies we are part of in this case) and another similar group. So, now it goes back to the judge.

The good news is that we are close to having new book trade distribution. That would help us a great deal. By my next update I should have news about our return to the book trade and hopefully the judge will rule in our favor as well. I really want to get the Fifth Season off to print before Xmas.
