Hello backers!

We’ve been quiet for the last few weeks, focusing on completing the Last Train to Bremen prepress as we wrapped up internal production. We’re happy to report that we’ve sent the files to print and we already have some tooling samples back to review. There is a lot to talk about in this update, so let's start with the extra-good news. 

Earlier this year, we spoke about the potential impact of tariffs to the larger games industry in a Daily Illuminator on April 3, 2025. While facing the ongoing uncertainty that many game publishers and businesses have had surrounding tariffs, we revealed the MSRP of the boxed set for Last Train to Bremen would be $50, an outcome we were never fully comfortable with.

This decision was made earlier in the year, but we continued to look for opportunities to lower the price. We’re very happy to be able to report that the MSRP for the boxed set of Last Train to Bremen has been lowered from $50 to $45.

This presents us with a unique opportunity to give back $5 to backers that selected the boxed set during the campaign. We will be using the BackerKit pledge manager to credit backers who selected a pledge level containing the boxed set of Last Train to Bremen. This will show on your pledge as “Complimentary Credit: $5.00” and can even help offset your shipping costs! In addition, we will be manually reducing the cost of the late pledge as well as the individual addon for the boxed item.

We are very thankful to not only have so many amazing backers, but to be in a position where we can reduce the MSRP and also provide a refund in the form of a credit to the original backers.

Just before the long holiday weekend, we finalized all of our internal reviews and uploaded files to our manufacturing partner. Overall this process has gone relatively smoothly and we’re quite happy with the first samples we received. Check out the tooling sample preview below, but keep in mind that these are not final. We’ve asked for a few changes and are still actively tweaking the final product.

The image above is missing a rather important detail: the red devil die. We’ve been working with our manufacturing partner on the red devil die since September, and we’ve gone through a number of revisions in order to preserve key details. As we worked through the process, we came to the conclusion that in order to get the level of detail we wanted, we needed to make some changes to give ourselves more room. Ultimately, this means that the size of the red devil die will be increased by 2mm from 14mm to 16mm. Along with this change, the size of the white dice will also be increased by 2mm to match.

All together, these changes afforded us the additional space required to ensure the level of detail we were seeking is what you receive.

In a past update, we shared with you a list of key dates – many of which were yet to be determined. Some time has passed, Bremen is officially printing, and we are approaching the end of the year, so we can narrow some of these down. 

We don’t expect that these dates will shift much, but we will update you if they do.
