PROJECT UPDATE
Project Update: Tinned Chow & Tuna + Salmon keychains UNLOCKED! Community concept sketches!
The tuna and salmon are officially going to be options for anyone receiving a plush keychain! Tinned Chow is also going to be available as a full size bag! I'm super happy, those keychains were such early choices because they were my favorites, and Tinned Chow will be a great shape to have available as a daily use bag.
Up next are the Sardine and Fish Skeleton plush keychains! The fish skeleton is the matching keychain for Alley Chow and the Sardine is the matching keychain for Tinned Chow, so if we hit that goal that'll mean all the bags from this campaign will have matching counterparts. The next full size bag is Sable Chow!
Anyway! I bet most of you are here because you want to see some concepts! You know that community choice vote? I've been doing some drawing to lock some stuff in! None of this is finalized yet though, since I would really prefer to get community input.

Here are rough takes on some of the designs in the vote!
Also something based on a suggestion! Someone said they would like the fish bone keychain as a bag. I don't think this is exactly what they meant, but I thought one where the skull is the bag and the spine is a printed strap would be neat. After getting it on paper I can say it is a neat concept but I'm not sold on it enough to add it to the vote right now. I don't like that I can't add more fins and ribs to it. An entire skeleton as a cross body bag might be better, but I haven't had the chance to draw it. What do you think?
For those of you who are unfamiliar with how my drawings usually go and who are nervous about how messy these are, a heads up: I have tremors, especially in my dominant hand. It means my sketches start off really, really rough. I have to draw something 3+ times to get it anywhere that feels like it could be finalized. On really bad days I might have to do it 7+ times. "Trust the process" applies heavily to my work. Try not to worry too much! Here's how Bear Chow ended up what it is, and these are not all the sketches it took to get there:
PROJECT UPDATE
Project Update: FUNDED! Bear Chow, Mako Chow, and Alley Chow are all unlocked!
We did it!! We hit our funding goal in the first day despite it being a high all-or-nothing number to make sure all the bags folks wanted would be available. That's amazing and I'm so grateful!! Thank you all for contributing!
From here on we have stretch goals we can hit! They're roughly 5k apart in general. Our next goal is the salmon and tuna keychains which are absolutely adorable! Once they are unlocked I will submit them for prototyping, and then I can start sharing their progress. There were too many prototypes for me to start without knowing if they could be reached, but we're already on our way to hitting that next goal!
If this is your first update here's the most important bit:

Project Update: We are LIVE!!
In case you missed it, we've launched! Early Bird only lasts until Wednesday afternoon, so now is the time to get the best pricing. I'm excited to see how far we go. Thank you all so much for turning out. What are you hoping to get? A specific keychain? One of the stretch goal bags? I'm always happy to hear what it is people are the most excited for!!
If we manage to get very far there are community designs that can be voted on! If something is suggested enough I am also willing to add to the poll answers, since votes can be changed before the poll closes. So feel free to toss suggestions.
I don't have much else to really share other than my gratitude! I've gotten rather ill because I've been having trouble even sleeping anticipating this launch. I always think I'm going to open the browser to check it went live and I'll get obliterated by a cartoon boxing glove on a spring, you know? But! At the time of writing this we're already 15% of the way there, which was at a rate of about 1% per minute. That's amazing, thank you so much!!

PROJECT UPDATE
Project Update: Carrion Baggage: Second Bite launches TOMORROW!!!
Are you ready?? I sure am, I've been working so hard on these. For a bit over a year now I've brought prototypes out to conventions to get in-person feedback, have been keeping an ear to the ground to get the experiences of folks using bags from the original Carrion Baggage campaign, and have been trying new materials and sizes with my manufacturers. I'm a little shy about admitting it but I really am very proud of what has been landed on.
We're going live tomorrow (Monday 03/02/2026) at 1PM PST!
(And remember that early bird pricing lasts for only 48 hours, meaning it will end Wednesday 03/04/2026 at 1PM PST!)
If we're funded I will be so extremely happy to say "I do have them in stock!" instead of "sorry, the prototypes aren't for sale" someday soon. People get so excited when they see them, and while I massively appreciate getting to see the raw reactions and hear people's first impulse takes on the idea I really hate having to disappoint those who ask if they can buy them. To any of you who talked to me or my wife about these bags in person, hello! Your feedback helped make this happen! Also hey mustelid fans, yes, you are the reason we have an egg bag in the rotation. You have been heard!
This update is mostly just a hold-on-to-your-butts kind of thing to make sure the actual launch time is clear, but to make sure I'm not leaving you with text only here's some tiling backgrounds you can use as a desktop or something maybe! I hope to see you at launch tomorrow.

PROJECT UPDATE
Project Update: Carrion Baggage: Second Bite Concept Art!
Hello all! Launch is on the horizon with the end of February barreling toward us. Are you ready for Spring? I sure am. Longer days and warmer weather here we come. I've been working away at finalizing everything for the campaign and we're now in tip-top shape to launch! I'm here with some art updates and early chances to participate for you all.
Community Choice Bags
There will be an opportunity at the end of the stretch goals to unlock 4 community choice designs: 3 food bags and 1 forbidden snack! The voting for these bag ideas is already open and can be found here:
Currently for the food themed bags, Potion Bottle is in the lead, followed VERY closely by Stego Dino Nuggie and Big Shrimp. They're currently the early standouts by such a margin that I will probably start working on finalizing some art for them very soon. Speaking of finalized art, I have a pile of it to share with you all!
NEW FULL AND MID SIZE BAGS
Art and even photos of the other full size bags are out there, but I haven't put up the full spread for these. Here's the art for Tinned Chow and the sardine pencil bag! The pencil bag is meant to match the sardines at the bottom of Tinned Chow, so you can have it be as full as you'd like. Depending on the final zipper choice for the sardine bag I'd like to add the option for a fish hook shaped zipper pull, but we'll see! Colored zippers tend to be less durable so it ultimately may not be a great idea for this one. Both of these bag use fabric printing to add detail to the interior. It is a process I'm picky about, so you can expect to see me being very picky about it while prototyping goes on.
BAG MATCHING KEYCHAINS
Our grilled meat keychains in the zebra color, neon dino color, and new jurassic color, along with a tuna, salmon, and fish skeleton (to match mako chow, bear chow, and alley chow,) a tiny t-bone and fried egg (to match the mini pouches and sable chow,) and a sardine (to match tinned chow and I suppose also the pencil bag!) These are ultra-cute and ultra-simplified, and if we unlock them all I think I'd like to make a BOGO mystery box for them.
Any of these that unlock will be available to reserve backers as a choice for their free plush keychain! If you see one you like among these please consider becoming a reserve backer. It will be the most cost effective way to get it if it's unlocked!

NEW COLORS FOR HAUNCH AND 2-BONE BAGS
This is similar in color and concept to the Neon Dino bag from the first campaign, but I wanted something a little more referential with fewer colors. I look forward to seeing how this one turns out, but it is past all the full size bags that require new patterns! These types are actually a lot more expensive if you can believe it. It's a shame. That's actually why only the grilled color for the original campaign will be available to get as part of Second Bite. Re-ordering all the original campaign bags would mean adding a whopping 32 grand spread out between the goals. The price and shipping increases compared to when the original campaign ran have been brutal.
