Project Update: Suggestion Update
While working through the interior construction on the circular pack, I’ve been looking at the zipper opening and thinking about a small improvement that could make the bag even more secure and polished based off a suggestion here.
Right now, when the zipper is fully open, there are tiny gaps on the left and right sides where the zipper meets the circular seam. They’re normal for this style of clamshell opening but I’ve been experimenting with adding two small triangular gussets in those spots to close the gaps and keep small items from slipping out.
✨ What the gussets do
- Close the side openings where the zipper meets the seam
- Keep pens, charms, coins, makeup, etc. from falling out
- Make the opening feel more contained and professional
- Don’t interfere with the zipper path or how wide the bag opens
🧵 What they look like
They’re small, clean triangular panels sewn into the zipper tape and the circular seam same color as the bag and they disappear visually when the bag is closed. When open, they act like soft “walls” on each side of the zipper.
💬 I want your thoughts
Would you like this added upgrade to the circular pack?
It’s a subtle change, but it improves usability and keeps the interior more secure. If the majority of backers want it, I’ll include it in the final production pattern.
