Project Update: 📢 Important Payment Update for Backers
Hey Wanderers quick update about the campaign.
Right now, 32 backers have payments that didn’t go through, totaling $4,815. This is completely normal for crowdfunding, and BackerKit has a built‑in process to help anyone with a failed payment get things sorted if they want to keep their pledge.
Here’s how BackerKit handles it:
- Backers have 14 days after the campaign ends to update their payment information.
- If the payment isn’t fixed within those 14 days, their pledge will temporarily show as $0 in the Pledge Manager.
- Their pledge items and add‑ons will still be there, just marked as a balance owed.
- They will still receive their survey, and they’ll have the chance to update their payment and reinstate their pledge.
- Once a backer updates their payment info, BackerKit re‑charges them immediately.
- If they don’t update it, BackerKit will automatically retry on Day 7 and Day 14.
This information comes directly from BackerKit’s payment policy nothing unusual, just part of the normal post‑campaign workflow.
