Project Update: Cool projects to support on day 2

Hello!

The campaign has been live for a little under a day now and we're comfortably funded, which is great! I'm really pleased with how this launch period has gone and very happy to know that I'm going to be able to make this book.

Launching a campaign like this is always a flurry of activity that doesn't give me much time to do anything other than shout very loudly about my own project. For me, the second day of an event like Pocketopia is dedicated to looking at all of the cool things other people are doing. With that in mind, I wanted to highlight some projects that I think are worth your attention.

GAST

Okay, I’m biased, because I’m cross-collaborating with the team at Hatched Games on this event, but GAST genuinely does look really great. This first “season” contains three new games based on the Carta system, and if you back both that project and Blood In The Margins you’ll get a pair of cool bookplates from both of us.

Disposable Bags of Meat

Ex Stasis Games have quietly been making some of the coolest projects in indie RPGs for a while now, and Disposable Bags of Meat looks to be continuing the trend. It’s a two-stat, last-one-standing survival horror game, and it looks awesome.

Childhood

I did a double take when I saw that this cutesy miniatures game about long summers as a kid spent fighting monsters is from the same people as Forbidden Psalm, but the more I read the more it made sense. The fact that Childhood isn’t funded yet feels criminal.

Rusty Revolvers

In recent weeks I’ve been playing a lot of Buckshot Roulette on Steam. Rusty Revolvers seems like it’s channeling the same sort of energy and aesthetic, and I’m desperate to play it. You can check it out here.

Next week I'll have an update for you about the progress of the book. Now that I know that we're fully funded I can focus on making sure that it's ready to go so that I can put it in your hands as soon as the campaign ends. Thanks again for your early support!
