A world that fell over the edge. A hostile wasteland cloaked in pecularity. Yet, Sasha and Leora’s bond is stronger than extinction.
Join us on this tale about the aftermath of a big collapse, and how a sliver of hope might be all Sasha has left.
Greed, power, technology, AI, robots, extremism, wars…so many things that can easily lead to the fall of humankind as we stand on that ledge. But above it all, one thing doesn’t listen to any fantasies of dominance humans have: nature.
That’s why when writing this story—unfurling from a desire to explore our survival instinct and what it means to be human when everything literally crumbles down around us—the downfall that caught up with us had to be even bigger than us. It had to come from Mother Nature herself. The one we wronged time and time again with our various behaviours. Through every action taken, we got closer and closer to the edge. Until there was no option left but to be propelled over it.
What happens then?
By following Sasha and Leora through the wasteland that once was America, our goal was to zoom in on a very personal and relatable journey that focuses on what can be done to power through the unthinkable, and not forget our core values when disaster hits. Those two women then offer a glimpse into what can happen when the stakes are clearly mightier than our individualities.
That might sound like an intense ride—and it is in multiple ways—but this is at its core a story about hope, kindness, resilience, altruism, community, human connection, and love. About everything that can ultimately make us stronger and keep pushing for a better tomorrow.
And sequential storytelling was the best way to bring this to you in all of its gorgeous complexity!
Embark on this adventure with Sasha and Leora to discover the beauty through the chaos, the light through the wreckage, and the rise of a budding civilization after everything has been stripped.
Back To Earth is like a hard reset, and we hope you’ll join our protagonists in their quest for inner peace and outside reconstruction.
Who will dare accompany Sasha in her inner exploration of the events that characterized her life?
Fair warning: it's not a long quiet river.
Not many people can relate to having survived the literal apocalypse, after all.
Through everything, one universal truth hangs over the wasteland that once was America: everyone needs an escape, and Sasha’s depends on the depths of the coping mechanisms of her psyche as she deals with the sheer insanity surrounding her.
As she wanders the Pacific Northwest looking for her companion, join her for this short introspection into what makes us humans, and what it means to strive under extreme conditions.
We decided to keep the rewards simple and to the point for maximum quality and value. We do have some amazing stretch goals, though, and if we meet them, those rewards will become even more awesome! (Psst...they are listed a little farther down on this page, go take a look as well!)
Note: Since our Team is mainly based in Canada and Portugal, the prices are in Canadian Dollars. To offer an easy at-a-glance comparison, we are listing the equivalent in USD beside each price on this page (which is also nearly on par with €)
We are passionate about this project, had a ton of fun working on it, and would love for it to be released into the world for you all to read. That means that we calculated our initial funding goal of $12,00 CAD (∼ $8,500 USD) to cover the strict minimum of costs from printing the books, the rewards, and the crowdfunding fees as well as cover some of our own time creating it (being indie creators is a 24/7 job and we believe the team deserves a fair wage for their creation!)
Any extra funding will be put toward these quite awesome stretch goals to make it even better for everyone:
M.H. Cali is an Award-Nominated author who writes character-driven romances, romantic suspenses and thrillers books as well as the occasional comic or graphic novel.
The world is complex and flawed, and so are the characters inhabiting the universes she builds. If you ever read any of her works, you’ll notice that she loves writing layered characters, having a diverse cast, and that to her quiet moments are just as important than action-packed ones.
Storytelling is all about harmony in the emotions and events throughout the narrative. It's her motto.
If she manages to make you feel what the characters are going through, live the events with them, and wonder what is going to happen, then she succeeded!

The risks of running into delays on our side are minimal.
