Project Update: Project Update: THANK YOU!! Campaign Over + What's Next?
Hey everyone!
Apologies for the delay in sending this specific update out; I was out in Connecticut at Furpocalypse during the final days, and needed some time to recoup once I got home. But I wanted to make sure I found the time to share my thanks, now that the campaign is over, and discuss where we're going from here and what's next for the HugBubs!
This was my first ever crowd-funded project EVER, so I'm honestly super humbled by the turnout and so, SO grateful for you all! $2.3k and 35 backers for a first-time venture is nothing to sneeze at~! :'D Thank you SO, SO MUCH!! for all the support, love for these little weirdos! It's been so special to see everyone's reactions, and now that I've learned from this experience and how all this sort of stuff works, I'm prepared to go bigger and better with future endeveors (including expansions to this little pack, perhaps?) So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you all so much for the support and the belief each and every one of you have given this passion project!! ;w;
So, WHAT'S NEXT?
As you may have seen, Backerkit is starting to collect pledged funds and making sure my bases are covered! In the meantime, I will be navigating my way through the back-end, including surveys that will be collecting addresses, plushie choices, and any other last-minute additions you want included! Keep an eye on that in the coming weeks!
The Preorder store will also go live for Bobbin, Racket, Mercury, AND BANJO around the time surveys go out as well (and I will make sure of it this time, ha!), for the followers or viewers who missed out on the campaign! Yes, you saw that right, I have made some plans for Banjo specifically: due to the fact that the raccoon was NOT unlocked during the campaign, I have elected to have him put into production regardless, but Banjo will be a PREORDER AND POST-PRODUCTION EXCLUSIVE. This means that he won't be a survey option and will only be available for retail price rather than the campaign-exclusive pricing. Sorry if that's disappointing news, but you still have Bobbin, Racket, and Mercury to choose from! I just want to ensure the full current collection is available in some way for you all to enjoy <3
Speaking of the idea of a collection, planning for a second campaign and/or pre-order goal will start going into fruition as well, with plans for that yellow and green design ironed out as the promised backer-vote! There is also a thought to add to the plans to also include an indigo design, but this one may be a bit special... Say, 3x bigger and extra floppy, perhaps? More details to come as soon as possible; there's much to do before then, but wanted to tease you guys to keep an eye out for more~!
