Thank you, and welcome!
To everyone within hailing distance: Hello, and welcome to Ramen Sandwich's Holiday Market storefront! This is a new experience for us — as it seems to be for Backerkit, too,...
A quick update to tie a bow on the Holiday Market campaign: All rewards have been shipped out, or at least ordered from the printer, who will ship them to you when they are ready. Thank you again for your support!
You may expect to see Ramen Sandwich Press back on Backerkit this winter with another project. The best way to stay up to date with what we're doing is to subscribe to my Substack blog about games, gaming, game publishing and my other nerdy interests, "I Think We've Been Playing It Wrong."
Thank you to all of you who bought something from our Holiday Market store! I sent out the pledge manager survey this morning and a couple of responses have already come in. That's a good thing, because speed is important here in terms of getting your rewards delivered in time for Christmas.
If you don't want to add on any items and you didn't order anything that needs to be shipped to your street address, we can just carry on and you don't actually need to respond. As soon as your payment is confirmed, we'll email your rewards. But if you want to buy some last-minute add-ons or you have bought something that needs to be shipped to a physical address, we'll need that information from you ASAP so we can charge cards and confirm your payment. And in the usual Backerkit way, we can't charge cards individually, we have to wait for responses to come in and then sweep up everyone at once.
Whatever the case, we'll get this process in motion as soon as we can. Thanks again for your support!
Wake up from your Thanksgiving food coma, everyone! There's less than 72 hours left in the Backerkit Holiday Market as I write this. Before the event closes on Monday (at 2 pm PST, by the way), I want to pass along some potentially helpful information to those of you interested in buying our short-sleeve t-shirts: a size chart, provided by the manufacturer themselves, for the model of t-shirt we will have our printer use for your order. Please note that measurements are given in inches, with width measured armpit to armpit, length measured from the nape of the neck down to the hem, and sleeve length measured from the shoulder to the hem: If you'd like to order a 4XL or 5XL, please do so directly through our website, we are not offering them through the Holiday Market.
Just before the holiday break, Backerkit approved the pledge manager for this event, so it will be ready to distribute as soon as the Holiday Market ends. As I may have mentioned in the last update, I spend all of Sunday morning uploading color swatch files to Backerkit so that when you choose the color of your shirt, you should have confidence in what you are choosing.
Thank you to all of you who have backed us in this event. If you haven't backed us yet, well, there's not much time left!
I hope you all are getting Thanksgiving Week off to a good start. Personally, I feel something resembling relief because, after spending most of the weekend filling out the form, I have the pledge manager ready for this Holiday Market campaign and I have notified Backerkit that they may review it. This is important for those of you who are ordering t-shirts, because this is where you will get to choose size and color. In fact, I spent all of Sunday morning assigning color sample images to each possible size/color combination so that you won't have to guess or hunt around to see what "red," medium gray," etc. really mean.
As for sizing, I'll send out another update before the Holiday Market closes with a screenshot showing the measurements given by our printer, in case that would help you decide which size works best for you.
Finally, I should make it clear — because I entered this somewhere in setting up our storefront, but I'm not sure that the information reached somewhere that is public-facing — that we will have to charge a bit extra for 2XL ($1) and 3XL ($2) size shirts. Presumably, Gildan charges for the extra fabric used in the larger sizes, and our printer passes that along to us. Even so, that's less than you would have to pay if your ordered through our website.
To everyone within hailing distance: Hello, and welcome to Ramen Sandwich's Holiday Market storefront! This is a new experience for us — as it seems to be for Backerkit, too, so it's not entirely clear what I should say in this update.
However, I would like to thank everyone taking a look around our store and even more so, those of you who have committed to buying items so far. Other than that, I'm not sure what else there is to say so far because everything we're offering here has already been published, so there is no work in progress.
I can mention that we added a few images to the store since the market opened the other day. I'm not sure why I passed on doing so when I first set up the storefront; I missed the paper clip icon that you use to add pics and I just assumed that there was no way to add visuals. I honestly don't think it adds much because they're the same product images that occur elsewhere in the store, but I suppose it makes sense to hit you with them earlier in your process of browsing the store. We'll see if it makes any difference.
More importantly, I should also mention that I am working on a pledge manager that will allow those of you who order t-shirts to choose size and color. Keep an eye out for it once the Holiday Market closes.
In the meantime, I'll touch base with you as events dictate. I'd appreciate it if you helped Ramen Sandwich spread the word about this opportunity to pick up stuff from our catalogue at a good price. You can also keep up with us through my Substack blog on gaming, game publishing and my other nerdy interests, "I Think We've Been Playing It Wrong."
