You may have seen this surprise elsewhere already (and may have already seen it if you backed the first campaign), but I'm thrilled to announce Space Wizard is working with Mary Robinette Kowal, who has a story in Lesbians in Space: Where No Man Has Gone Before, to narrate the audiobook!
Mary Robinette has recorded dozens of great audiobooks (many of which I've listened to), along with recording fiction for authors such as Seanan McGuire, Cory Doctorow, and John Scalzi.
We were lucky enough that she has time later this year to record the anthology, including her own story, so even if you've read the text version, this will be a narration you won't want to miss!
You'll have a chance to get the audiobook, eBook, or paperback versions, or all three, plus any of our existing Space Wizard catalog! Our base goal is to fund the narration for the first anthology, Lesbians in Space: Where No Man Has Gone Before, but depending on how much funding we get, we do have our second anthology ready, Lesbians in Space: The Sapphics Strike Back!
Today is the official release day for Lesbians in Space: The Sapphics Strike Back! I hope you've enjoyed being the first to read it, and if you liked it, there's a very easy way to make sure other people find and enjoy it as well.

I sent out a lot of packages this week, and they're wending their way toward you, if they haven't already arrived! This has been a whirlwind campaign, but my goal was to finish it up before the end of the year.
I still have a few unanswered surveys and 3 failed credit cards, so I'll keep an eye on those over the next few weeks before I close this campaign out.

I have one more question for you, in the attached poll. What about an audiobook? They take a lot of money to produce, but I'm thinking of running a crowdfunding campaign to turn both anthologies (if possible) into audio format. What do you think of this? This campaign had almost 400 backers, and I calculate we'd need at least 200 of you to fund an audiobook. Fill out the poll below and let me know if that's something you want to see!

I have lots of news this week. First, I received the Lesbians in Space: The Sapphics Strike Back fancy hardcovers! The books arrived just as it started snowing in Raleigh NC in December, which is almost unheard of!

The other news I have is that shipping is almost done! I'm packing up the last paperback books today and I hope to have these hardbacks packed up as well, by the end of the week. That means this campaign will be fully fulfilled by next week. I told you it would be a short one! If you are one of the 9 people who haven't filled out your survey for physical books, or your credit card has failed, please correct that as soon as possible! I'd love to close out this project completely by the end of this year.

I'm packing up the first shipments of Lesbians in Space: The Sapphics Strike Back today, and there are a lot of them! I'm planning to do a little each day, and get through all the orders in the next week or so. I have all the items for the campaign EXCEPT for the hardback, but that just shipped from overseas, so hopefully I'll have them here in a week or two. Can't wait to see how they look!
Now, we unfortunately found a pretty big typo after I ordered over 300 books, so I had to do a little post-production error correction on the new shipment. We found out Sarah Zane was not properly credited on her story, "The Sherwood Striker Hits Its Mark" and I had to do a little inventive printing and cutting with some address labels. So you'll see the below when you get your books. All the files have been corrected for further printing and eBooks, so you all get the limited edition, first run, handcrafted version! I'm sure they'll be worth millions someday...

Finally (because this year has been crazy), we're also in the last 3 days of our Space Wizard Year 4 Part 2 campaign! We're funded, but I'm hoping to hit some stretch goals in the last days.
