A Construct's Nature is still on track, and, since last time, art has been completed! Right now, I'm working on layout, incoporating feedback from a final playtest, and some fine-tuning with the cover and trim edges. Once this is done, I'll be ordering test prints and then moving into tweaking the slide layout while waiting for the prints to arrive.
Art reveals!
Since the art is now complete, I want to share a few pieces with you! I've drawn over 250 individual art assets for the book, and the collage below shows some of these pieces, ranging from background scenery to objects to characters (and there are actually two characters shown here). Add-ons status
While I was planning on releasing Critter Mech Squad, one of the add-ons, this month, I ran into some issues with the proof copy and will need to re-order after making an adjustment to the trim allowance. So, instead, I released Ranger Mech Squad this month since that one came through OK! This one will be ready when ACN is, and hopefully Critter Mech Squad's update will be ready soon as well.
Surveys starting in March
For surveys, my plan is to release them in two rounds, starting in March. The first will collect shipping address information and info on any add-ons you'd like to include. Based on this, I'll calculate shipping, which will be collected in the second round of surveys. I'm talking with the Backerkit team right now on the best to handle this, and if there's any changes to the plan, I'll let you know in the next update.
Greeting Games launching in March
Also in March, I'll be participating in Pocketopia on Backerkit with Greeting Games! This is a crowdfunding campaign to hire artists (and one special young writer) to create mini games and TTRPG references that fit on cards and postcards! If you haven't signed up already, please do so, as there are going to be a couple of early bird rewards.
