Project Update: October Update: Fulfillment Complete! Time to Play!

Hey everyone!

TLDR:
  • Fulfillment is complete. Email us if something is wrong.
  • Halloween season is the perfect time to play Werewolf in the Dark. Don't miss out on your chance to play!
  • Share your Werewolf in the Dark stories!
  • Mothership Month starts Tuesday, October 14th!
Some of our favorite characters.
FULFILLMENT COMPLETE
We’ve got some big news: fulfillment for Werewolf in the Dark is officially complete! Every copy has been shipped, and our dark little party game has found its way into your hands. If you haven’t received your game, or have any issues, please don’t panic. Just reach out to us at [email protected]. We’ll make it right.

NOW'S THE TIME TO HOWL! 🌕
It’s October, the spookiest month of the year, and there’s no better time to turn off the lights, grab your friends, and play Werewolf in the Dark. This game shines (or rather lurks) best in the dark of night, laughter echoing through the shadows, accusations flying, and the tension of not knowing who to trust. Whether it’s at a Halloween party, a game night, or just a campfire in the back yard, this is the moment Werewolf in the Dark was made for.

SHARE YOUR NIGHT OF TERROR
We’d love to see your games in action! Share your photos, videos, or wildest moments on social media and/or BoardGameGeek. Feel free to use #WerewolfInTheDark to tag your experiences. Your stories keep this growing community alive (even if you hope to devour one another in the dark).

MOTHERSHIP MONTH STARTS TUESDAY!
Mothership Month returns
Tuesday, October 14, 2025 with even more creators, nightmares, and community events. Whether you're an old teamster or a fresh recruit, you're invited to the largest Mothership event of the year.

If you like our MOTHERSHIP RPG space horror game, be sure to check out Mothership Month.

THANK YOU!
This project started as a spooky little experiment, and thanks to you — our incredible backers — it’s become something truly special. We couldn’t have done it without your support, excitement, and trust.
With fulfillment wrapped, this will be our final Backerkit update for Werewolf in the Dark. But don’t worry — we’ll still be lurking around, creating more strange and wonderful games for you to enjoy, and responding to messages and feedback.

From all of us at Tuesday Knight Games — thank you for bringing Werewolf in the Dark to life. Now go turn off the lights… and start howling.
— Alan and The Tuesday Knight Games Team

Project Update: JULY UPDATE: Possible Errata

We hope you are enjoying your copies of Werewolf in the Dark. As always, if you have any issues or questions, please let us know.

TLDR:
  • Going to Gen Con? We hope to see you there.
  • Website is up and is full of resources to help you play.
  • A shorter, less-than-5-minute cut of the documentary is available.
  • There is possible errata (corrections) for the game based on specific variables.

GEN CON 2025
Our game Mothership, the sci-fi horror roleplaying game by Sean McCoy, is up for a few ENNIE awards. The ENNIE awards are like the Oscars for tabletop roleplaying games. If you'd like to meet any of the crew behind Mothership and/or Werewolf in the Dark, feel free to say "hi" during the celebration. We hope to see you there.

WEBSITE IS UP!
As a reminder, the Werewolf in the Dark website is up and running. If you haven't already, check out timers, recommended playsets, and more!
www.tuesdayknightgames.com/werewolfinthedark

WitD IN LESS THAN 5:
If the 20 minute long mini-doc was too long, here is a shorter cut of that video to share with your friends to get them pumped to play Werewolf in the Dark.

ERRATA?
Many of you have been sharing your playthroughs on Board Game Geek, social media, and more. This is great! Some individuals have questions about certain rules after playing the game. The truth is, making the rules for Werewolf in the Dark is a bit of task as the recommended characters, playtime, and other rules really do depend on player count, specific player behavior, preferences, and definitely the size and shape of the venue in which you are playing the game. Below are some points you won't find in the rulebook that may help your games run smoothly.

Time Limit
Some groups find there is too much time for the Werewolf (or other monsters) to hunt their prey. This might be because 8 minutes can be a long time for a small group or players in a small location. As one of the game's designers, I can tell you it should be rare that a full 8 minutes passes in a night phase. Before that, hopefully someone finds and declares a dead body, ending the night phase. But if the environment and/or players make this difficult, try this simple fix: 30 seconds per player to a maximum of 8 minutes.

Werewolf/Monster too Strong
Some groups are finding the monster is killing a majority of players just in the first night phase. This could be due to a small playing space or very athletic monsters. If your group keeps experiencing this, consider a variant to fix this issue. I would simply adjust the rules for verifying a body. No longer do players have to be touching a dead body to verify it, but only need to be in the same room or near it. NOTE: This means the Thingy monster is no longer viable.

Too Much Light
The general rule is, "The darker the better." There should never be so much light that all players can simply look at one another in a single room and wait out the monster, watching to see which player finally attempts to murder someone. The game is at its best when you can see two shadowy blobs of people have an altercation but you can see who is who. So, if even after doing all you can to make it as dark as possible players can still see, try having everyone wear sunglasses.

Crowded Sanctuary
If you find there is too much of bottleneck leaving sanctuary because of too many players or too small a space, this may lead to many players simply hanging back and staying in sanctuary. This might make it difficult for the monster to commit a stealthy murder. If your group is experiencing this issue, try forbidding anyone but one player from staying in Sanctuary and start the round only after everyone spreads out. The reason for the one player staying in Sanctuary is so someone can turn off the lights. Of course, you'll only need this for the first night phase. In future night phases, the ghosts can be responsible for turning off the light(s) in Sanctuary.

And that's it! I hope this helps and I hope you're enjoying your game. If you haven't yet played, please let me know when you do. As always, if you have issues with any components or delivery, email us at [email protected]. Hope to see you Gen Con!

Project Update: Werewolf in the Dark-umentary!

Tuesday Knight Games Unleashes "Werewolf in the Dark" — Now Available for Purchase!
The party game of deduction and darkness is perfect for summer nights.

After a successful BackerKit campaign, we are thrilled to announce that Werewolf in the Dark is now available to the public for purchase at TuesdayKnightGames.com!

To celebrate the launch, we just released a new 18-minute mini-documentary, Behind the Howl: Werewolf in the Dark! It offers a sneak peek into playing the game, the scary atmosphere it creates, and the CabinCon community of players that helped bring it to life.

Werewolf in the Dark is a fast-paced party game that plunges players into total darkness—literally. It blends the social deduction of classic werewolf with tactile intensity of hide and seek. One minute day phases to vote for elimination. Pitch black night phases where you hunt or be hunted.

Summer is the perfect season to break out this game. Whether it's a graduation party, family reunion, or Fourth of July BBQ, Werewolf in the Dark turns an ordinary evening into an unforgettable adventure.

Key Features:
  • Designed for parties and large groups.
  • Perfect for nighttime play—indoors or outside, at homes, camps, churches, farms, and more.
  • No moderator, and everyone has a special character.
  • No elimination. Once dead, you become a candle-carrying ghost.
  • Easy to learn, fast to play, endlessly replayable.
  • Pairs perfectly with summer vibes and spooky fun.

Visit TuesdayKnightGames.com to order your copy and check out Behind the Howl.

It’s time to turn out the lights and let the games begin. Let us know your thoughts on BackerKit or BoardGameGeek.

Project Update: APRIL UPDATE: UK and others... It's here!

For those of you not in the United States Werewolf in the Dark (WitD) in your hands, you should have it soon!

TLDR:
  • Fulfillment over seas happening! By the end of April, everyone should have their games.
  • If anything is missing from your order, contact Quarter Master Logistics (qmlogistics.com/contactUs.html).
  • If anything is broken or wrong, contact us ([email protected]).
  • CabinCon is almost here! It's a Cleveland, Ohio gaming convention in a summer camp.

DID YOU GET YOUR GAME?
So this update is very similar to last months. The only difference is we are nearing the end of fulfillment. Everyone in the US should have their games. If not, let us know.

For those of you outside of the Unities States, you should have this in your hand by the end of this month. Some of you likely already have the game in your hands.

We inquired as to the "not-US" delay and were assured EU fulfillment has begun. There was a slight hiccup as the games needed to be shipped to British shipping hubs and "some processing needed to be completed."

Our apologies to those who do not have their games in their hands yet. It's always a bit of a game of estimations when it comes to who will get what when. There are many factors and sub-factors that make it near impossible for us to be able to provide precision.

QUARTER MASTER LOGISTICS FOR MISSING COMPONENTS
We truly hope you get everything you backed and paid for. Mistakes happen, so don't despair if you anything is missing. Simply contact Quarter Master Logistics for any missing components by going to qmlogistics.com/contactUS.html.

TUESDAY KNIGHT GAMES FOR FAULTY COMPONENTS
If you find anything in your package that is damaged upon delivery, please let us know by emailing us at [email protected]. A few people reported candle issues. Most candle issues can be easily fixed at home. Regardless, we want you to be happy with your products and playing as soon as possible. So please, let us know if you have any issues by emailing our support service.

CABINCON
A Summer Camp in the Spring for Adult Gamers!

Every end of April, we at Tuesday Knight Games kicks out all the kids from Hiram House Camp in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. It's just a short drive from the Cleveland Airport, and adults play games all weekend long. We call this event CabinCon. When darkness falls upon the camp, the evenings are spent playing scary games.

One new CabinCon tradition is playing Werewolf in the Dark on Saturday night! Many of my gaming friends from the game industry join in on the fun and even stay in my cabin. One year, my friend Quintin Smith joined in on the fun and spoke of it on the Shut Up and Sit Down Podcast. You can here about his adventures at CabinCon here:

https://www.shutupandsitdown.com/podcastle/podcast-220-gerdings-game-gulag/

I hope to see you there or at least hear about your adventures playing WitD!
