Project Update: The Demonologist Journal and a Festival

The Demonologist Journal will be a treasure trove of scenario ideas and world-building material, perfect for deepening your campaigns! And because it captures the tone of the era, it will be compatible with other games set in the era, such as Call of Cthulhu: Gaslight.

The Demonologist Journal is inspired by real-world magazines like Lucifer (from 1887 onward) and The Occult Review (from 1905 onward), when the fascination with the occult was at an all-time high. The Demonologist Journal will be an in-world magazine, packed with lore, tools, and inspiration for both players and GMs of The Exorcist Codex.

You have the chance to be part of this publication! Become a journalist, occultist, shopkeeper, historian, detective, gunsmith, medium, or any other character you imagine from the Victorian era. Submit your story, ad, or letter, and have it included in this immersive in-world publication!

Picture your Victorian-era readers as seekers of the hidden and the occult. What would grab their attention? What items might they want to buy? What services could you offer? Or perhaps you need help?

Advertisements for Equipment – Sell rare or unusual items like a peculiar medicine, an antique weapon, an old book, or a strange photograph.

Requests for Assistance – Request assistance for finding a missing book, solving a farm mystery, funding an expedition, or tracking down a missing person.

Services Offered – Offer your services as hired muscle, a spiritual medium, or an experienced guide.

Reader Letters – Share a strange encounter, occult knowledge, submit a traveler's report from uncharted lands, uncover clues of lost relics, and more.

Check the Add-ons section for more details and send us your contribution!
