Project Update: 🎉 🎉 We Did It! 🥳 🥳

Hey everyone!

As you’ve probably heard (or read), the Naked Truth Tarot Midnight Edition campaign has surpassed 250% funding — all thanks to you!

We truly appreciate your incredible support!

BackerKit will take a couple of weeks to collect your pledges, so please keep an eye on your inbox to ensure there are no payment issues that could delay your rewards when we start shipping.

Based on the poll results, we’re excited to confirm that two extra cards—the Lovers and the Tower from the first edition—will be added to this Midnight Edition deck to make it even more special.

If you encounter any problems, don’t hesitate to reach out to us!

Have a great rest of your week!

Project Update: ☆ March Update ☆

 Hey everyone ~

Alright everything is settling down again so I'm zeroing in on this project. Its been unacceptably long but we're still having major production troubles.

So where are we?

Next couple of months, we're focussing in on getting the minor arcana done. Work is already underway.

I have a couple of very rough sketches to illustrate the concept;

I know these don't look like much but bear with me. For the numbered cards, we're going to have one image with ten individual creatures. For each number the right amount of creatures will be coloured/detailed, the rest up to 10 will be silhouettes. Then the four court cards will have one more detailed individual, similar to the major arcana. The Queen card will have a blood moon alternative colour (I can't remember if I promised more than one court card per suit would have an alt, but I will check).

(More work is done but its not really something I can show until its ready to come together.)

First up we're doing the Hoff crab, so named because they have a hairy chest. Amazing. They live on deep heat vents in colonies so large you can't see the rock beneath them. They will get much more detailed art than this paltry sketch, I promise!

We also have the pearl octopus, which live in huge octopus gardens. And lantern fish, which are among the most abundant vertebrates on Earth, although they are much more common in the twilight zone they have been recorded in the midnight zone. Our fourth is undecided, and we're taking suggestions. We do have crow pins for this campaign, so if you make a suggestion and we use it I'll send you a feather.

Orders for the new crab tarot pins will go in soon, we were waiting to add them to the PnP pin order. The bulk of the notebooks and sticker books and stationery is due to arrive this month.

Overall I want to say we'll be getting to fulfillment by Q4 2026 but a lot could go wrong before then. Or right! But I am wary of making promises at this point. Just know I'm working on it as hard as I can.

Thanks for your patience.

Project Update: Production fully underway! Charging for shipping and add-ons

Hi everyone!

We're finally in the home stretch with production! There were some expected delays with the Lunar New Year holiday and some unexpected delays with my bank sending payment to the manufacturer, but everything is back on track and we are looking forward to seeing some samples of the deck very soon!

In the meantime our fulfillment partners (my mom and dad, who were a HUGE help with getting my last solo project fulfilled) are getting everything prepped to ship out as soon as the oracle decks are delivered.

Shipping charges for the packages have been calculated based on current USPS rates, and on Friday, March 6th we will be charging cards for shipping and any add-ons purchased through the Pledge Manager.

If you need to make any changes to your address or your order, please send an email to [email protected] and we'll be happy to help!

That's all the updates for now! I'll leave you with some photos of the rewards that are already in hand, and I'll be back as soon as we have new updates on the deck production and a delivery estimate from the manufacturer.

Project Update: Orders Combined, Addresses Locking, Timeline Ahead!

Hello friends!

As of today, I have finished merging people's orders backwards, so anyone who backed both this project and the one from May on Backerkit who requested it in their survey, your orders are now merged into one project.

What this looks like: your order on the other project was marked as Fulfilled, and the items from it have been added to your order on THIS project.  If you're curious, you can go take a look for yourself to make sure things made it over okay.

I am going to LOCK ADDRESSES on the 27th of March. The goal is to make sure our shipping numbers and addresses are correct.

As of now, we are aiming to have our production finished by mid April, with items to our fulfillment team in China and then picked-and-packed by the end of April for your orders.

April 30th - May 10th, we'll see International (non-North American) shipping starting to go out.
May 25-30th, we'll see the container with the North American orders arrive to the USA.
June 10th, all orders should have been shipped out and, hopefully, in-hand already.
That's it! Chinese New Year breaks end shortly, so we'll see items in production soon, and then it's a fulfillment time where things happen, packages are packed, labels are placed, and then items go places!
Now, I will say these are the dates as given to me by the fulfillment team. The manufacturer doing the dice items may note that the manufacturing could take a little longer, but June to the start of July is still a great timeline estimate.
So that's that, otherwise you'll just be looking for my updates about the shipping charges being added to your orders near the end of March, and I'll be harrassing people who haven't gotten their surveys in. You can always just go on backerkit.com and check your surveys there if you're not sure if it's in yet!
So talk again in March when shipping charges are coming up!

Project Update: Antique decks arriving tomorrow and Emerald City Comic Con!

Hello everyone!

We are happy to announce that the antique decks are inbound with a delivery date of tomorrow.

They had to order more paper for the basic decks, which are in progress, and I expect to get them soon as well.

We appreciate your patience as my husband, and I navigated ordering and prepping these. We are a small team of two, and this is over 400 orders to send out. It will take a bit of time but It will be worth it. Shipping will begin after we get back from Emerald City Comic Con the week of the 16th.

For those of you who are attending Emerald City Comic Con, we will be there in person in the Artist Alley. Stop by and say hello.

Cheers!

- Kaitlund & Charles

Project Update: Check out these pics!

Hi everyone,

with Pintopia 2026 coming to an end, I figured I´d sneak in a few photos of my current pin project. They are already funded and some stretch goals unlocked.

"Cracked & Kind" Enamel pins are inspired by chipped cups and the idea that repair is nothing to hide. Because perfection is overrated

The metal captures the light beautifully and the reflections work really well with the design.

A Stretchgoal called the Frankenstein Cups, Cups mended together form different colors, have already been unlocked:

If that looks good to you, check out all the pins here before the campaign ends!

Best,
Greg

Project Update: The 1000 Goblin Pin, and our Dice Chests!

Hello folks,

Nothing big to report, but I did want to come in and share the "7 Was Wrong Pin" design final form! It is officially named the 1000 Goblin Pin!

It will be 2.5" wide, and while it was offered here cheaper, it will retail for $15. This is the 'commemorative' pin I put up in our final moments when we reached 1000 backers, proving me wrong about that!

Also, look at the dice chests! Just kind of fun to see them in process. They are just about done, and I've paid manufacturing with the manu, but we won't start until March since we have to work around the Chinese New Year here in Feb.

More info in March when we have some clearer timeline info!

Project Update: Vibrating Tarot February Update

Hello everyone. I hope you’re all doing well.

The Vibrating Tarot project is moving ever forward, but I regret to inform everyone of a further delay in the fulfillment timeline due to unforeseen production challenges with our printer.

While we had sincerely hoped to have the deck in your hands much sooner, circumstances have forced us to extend our original timeline further than anticipated.

We are hopeful that our deck can be delivered to all of you in May 2026.

Thanks for your understanding, as I feel a great responsibility to advocate to the best of my ability for each brand who has allowed their products to be featured in this body of work, even if it tacks on several weeks to the production timeline.

Updated Production Schedule

March: Continue discussions with printer. Approve the new offset proof.

April: Awaiting our shipment.

May: Fulfillment of units to all Backers.

Why are we Facing this Delay?

After having seen the deck printed several times during the past two years by several different North American printers, we finally committed to seeing our first offset proof, which was produced by the company that was to manufacture our full run of 1000 units, who is based in China.

Generating an offset proof of a bulk print job is very expensive but crucial as a final test because it shows exactly how each one of the 1000 copies printed after it will look.

It is at this final stage that we ran into our issue, as the printer we had been working with did not deliver a satisfactory proof of the project. In our offset proof, we noticed that all the colours are much too dark, leading to the loss of important details, and the overall colour palette tends towards red/beige, with many cards having a very noticeable reddish/beige hue washing over them.

Although I could share a variety of different examples, I don't want these inadequate images living on the internet in perpetuity and potentially overshadowing the amazing final product that will soon be coming to store shelves.

Why Does this Discrepancy Matter?

I’m trying to ensure that each product looks the way it should look and that no brand who has put their trust in me has any reason to feel that their product didn’t turn out properly in the final print.

I have an obligation to make sure that all the images are accurate representations of the products they depict. We simply cannot accept this printing result and rush the final product into the hands of our backers.

What is our Solution?

Our printer told us that we were being too picky and that we should just accept a certain level of variation.

They ignored our attempts to discuss the colour calibration on their equipment or the colour profiles and export settings of my files. I was eventually told to find a different printer who had better printing capabilities.

Advancing an ongoing dialogue I had previously initiated with a different printing company, one that has come highly recommended to us, has already been a major improvement.

When I proceeded with the new company and asked to see a full offset proof, they told me exactly which colour profile to apply to my images that aligns with their specific printing machinery.

Now that all of my files have been exported with settings that are optimal to the equipment being used to print the job, I am certain that our new offset proof will look amazing.

Please know that without addressing the issues we’ve encountered, Vibrating Tarot would have been printed incorrectly. It would have been delivered to you below acceptable standards, and it would have been my own fault for not advocating on our behalf.

I believe we're in good hands now and that all of this will have been worth the extra wait. My only regret is that I need to be telling all of you that you will need to wait a little longer to see your deck of cards.

Any Questions?

If anyone has any questions, please ask in the comments below. I'd love to provide more details, but I didn't want to bog down this update with too much info.

If you have any specific questions, or if you want to continue this discussion in the comment section, I'd be more than happy to provide more info and answer all of your questions. I want to encourage a substantive discussion with those who want to have one, so please don't hesitate to voice your opinions below.

Thanks to everyone for understanding about our production delay

Thank you all for your patience and for your belief in this project. We want to make a deck we can be proud of and that reflects all the hard work from so many people in this industry by accurately and beautifully presenting the product imagery on each card.

Thanks to those who have already told me quality is more important than the original timeline.

We know that once the cards are in your hands, you will see how our careful attention to detail has paid off, and that the delays encountered to get to this point were more than worth the tradeoff.

So we move forward, ever optimistic. Someday very soon, this project will make it into the world and all the struggles will have been worthwhile.

All the best,

Project Update: Checking in

Hello everyone,

The decks are currently in progress at the printer, and there isn't much else to update. We expect them sometime this month. Mostly everything else is done or in progress. The sketchbooks are slightly behind, but I'm hoping to get those rolling into production soon as well.

As for the coloring books, a couple of the line art pieces needed to be redone. They were accidentally merged with the color layers. Thankfully, that is moving along smoothly now, though. One of the downsides of autosave in Adobe Cloud.

Thank you, everyone, for your patience as we are getting this project closer to the finish line.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to ask here or email [email protected]

Project Update: ☆ February Update ☆

Hey everyone ~

We've had another pin set back, sorry guys. I missed a massive mistake.

They missed this part of the design on my order sheet. Unfortunately, I didn't notice it on the proofs. So all the rest have it coloured in, as far as I can see; but none of the spider crabs do. Including the BM and glow versions T_T. So they all have to be re ordered. I only just noticed it. Fortunately the molds don't need to be remade so the cost is less, but even so.

So that's underway right now. Work is continuing in the background. We are currently moving house, we'll be moved end of Feb and after that updates should increase.

Thanks for your patience.
