Hi everyone. We're pleased to let you know that the Anticipation of Hollowness books are finally in print! We expect to receive the books within the next couple of weeks, and we'll start shipping them immediately once they are in hand.

Survey Fiasco:
As you're well aware, the survey process here on Backerkit has been fairly disastrous, and we still haven't managed to ensure with confidence that if we hit go, people wouldn't get charged money they don't want to get charged.

Moving off Backerkit:
With that in mind, we are moving the fulfillment process off Backerkit. Next week, you'll each get an individual email from [email protected]. In that email, we'll ask you to confirm:
1. Your shipping address (if you just got the eBook, you won't have to give us your address)
2. Any add-ons you want, so we can ensure everyone gets everything they already paid for.
3. If there is anything included in your pledge tier that you don't want.

Shipping Costs:
As an apology for the fiasco, as well as for the printing and fulfillment delays, we'll be offering everyone free or discounted shipping, depending on location/cost. If you live in the U.S., you'll get free shipping.  

If you live outside the U.S., due to significantly higher shipping costs, we'll offer a 50% discount on shipping. As part of our email exchange with you next week, we'll send you a PayPal link where the final cost can be paid.

Hi everyone. We've fixed the problem that was causing everyone's order to double up. No one has been charged at all yet for any post-campaign costs, and no one should be charged for their order twice.

We will post an update one day before we charge cards for shipping. So until you see that update, don't worry, you haven't been charged anything since your initial campaign pledge last year. The only charges that you should have at this point are shipping charges, or add-on charges IF you choose to add items onto your order when you take the survey.

Once we send that next update and charge cards for shipping, IF you are charged twice for some reason due to a system glitch (which should NOT happen), please let us know and we'll gladly work with you to refund any extra that was charged.

So if you haven't taken your survey yet, or haven't finished it because you were waiting for this to shake out, then please go ahead and take/finish your survey so we can move onto fulfillment!

Finally, for those of you who pledged the digital book tier and have emailed us to ask about shipping costs for items that come with that tier, we will be responding to your emails throughout the day today. So please keep an eye out for our response.

Hi everyone. Of course, it all seemed fine. We sent out the smoke test surveys and had no problem, then we sent out the rest of the surveys, and pretty much everyone has contacted us to tell they've been double charged. We guarantee that this is not, as one backer put it, "another way to make money instead of giving me the reward for what I already pledged." It's simply a technical error that we're getting fixed. 

In the meantime, we recommend not filling out your survey.

We've contacted Backerkit Support to help us figure out what's going wrong. None of you should be being charged twice, and we haven't hit the "collect shipping" button yet, so you should be being charged for that either. 

Sorry for the mistake and the trouble. We'll update you all again as soon as we have new information.

Hi everyone. We've sent out the "smoke test" surveys and haven't had any problems, so we wanted to let you know that tomorrow morning we'll be sending out all the rest of the surveys. Be sure to check your inbox and if you don't see your survey by 9:00 AM PST on May 29, then be sure to check your spam folder to make sure it end up there.

Once survey's start getting filled out, we can begin charging for shipping and start the perk fulfillment process. So be sure to fill out your survey ASAP. It shouldn't take you more than a minute, literally.

Backerkit's survey system proved to be much more complicated than we imagined. Way more detailed and complicated than Kickstarter, but also, ultimately providing more and better tools than Kickstarter. Point being that we apologies for not getting survey's out a few weeks ago like we intended. 

But we finally got everything on the back end figured out, and we're ready to go! Later today we'll be sending out the smoke test surveys, which go out to 5% of our backers, and are designed to catch any problems or mistakes with the survey's before they go out to everyone. Then, once we've made needed adjustments, if any, the surveys will go out to all backers. 

We'll also be starting to charge shipping costs later this week, and we wanted to make sure to let you know that ahead of time so no one is surprised by a random charge on their card.
