Hello, hello, wonderful backers! Another month (more or less) has passed, so I'm here with another update on The Flame That Sings, which you've helped make a reality.

The book edits are FULLY FINISHED! Both my own edits and the final proofread by my editor have been done.  The bonus PDF is also finished and ready to go, as are the linocut prints. I've ordered basically all the shipping materials I should need. 

We're getting there! On your end, thank you all for being so prompt with your surveys! I think there are only 18 people who haven't answered theirs yet, which is really not so bad at all. This makes it a lot easier for me to move forward with fulfillment as the ordering and shipping dates approach.

Because everyone has been so good about surveys, I'm going to lock orders and charge cards for shipping a little earlier than planned. This way I can get more accurate numbers for how many books I need to order, and I'm also not charging shipping...right at the start of November, when people are probably paying rent and other bills. Hopefully that's a helpful change.

Don't worry! If your card errors in any way, BackerKit will alert you, and you'll have plenty of time to fix it before shipping starts 😊. (And even if it's not fixed until later, I always send packages that have been paid for, even if it's late.)
