Hi everyone! All the logistical background financial maneuvering has been completed, and we are ready to send out backer surveys along with the first round of digital rewards for backer feedback!

PLEASE read everything below VERY CAREFULLY, so that you know what you need to do next, and the planned timeline of events going forward!

Soon, you’ll receive an email from us with a unique link to YOUR BackerKit survey. A few of you will receive it today, and most of you will receive it in the next day or so. It’s VERY important to respond to your survey as quickly as you can since we need this information not only to fulfill your rewards but to check the boxes on our end and make sure we've completed everything.

You don’t need to create a BackerKit account to fill out your survey. When you receive the email with the survey, click the survey link to respond. Answer the questions about your reward preferences, provide shipping information, and, if you like, purchase add-on items. You don’t have access to this survey link yet, but it will be available soon via email!

After you respond to your survey, you can go back later and change your responses at any time before we close the surveys in June (see below).

As we said during the campaign, due to the volatility of shipping prices globally right now, shipping fees for this project will be calculated at a later date once we have the best estimates for everyone. We plan to enter & charge backers for shortly before PHYSICAL fulfillment (probably right at the beginning of next year) when we have better estimates of what it will cost to ship backers' rewards. We will alert backers when shipping costs are finalized & before we charge your cards in your BackerKit survey. We will keep you informed all along the way!

If you need to review your information or pledge status, you can return to your survey by clicking the link in your survey email or requesting your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page at https://han-cluster.backerkit.com/.

If you used your Facebook credentials to log in to your account, the BackerKit survey is sent to the email address you use for your Facebook account. If you have another email address that you prefer to use, please contact support at https://www.backerkit.com/c/projects/ede-sol-games/han-cluster-optimistic-sci-fi-rpg/faqs#top.

After surveys are sent, if you did not receive the email, and you Signed in with Apple ID, your email address might be a private relay email address. We can help locate your survey and update your email address, please message us or post a comment with your Backer ID or Pledge # found on your confirmation. You can learn more about your email hiding for your Apple ID here.

Those who backed the original campaign will be getting the first round of digital files TODAY! These are beta versions for backer feedback and will only be given to those who backed during the campaign. Any add-ons purchased in the survey and pre-orders from the Pre-Order store (now open!) will not be sent until the digital files are finalized in late June. Here is the planned schedule for the backer feedback period.

THIS WEEK: ROUND ONE OF BACKER FEEDBACK
The Han Cluster Sourcebook, the archetype cards, the maps, and figure flats:
These will be released via links to DriveThru RPG LATER TODAY to original campaign backers for feedback. You'll need a Drive Thru RPG account (or to create one) to receive your files. some of you will receive multiple emails from DriveThruRPG gifting you the products depending on your pledge.

Feedback Form:
Though you have NO obligation to, we'd appreciate you helping us catch any issues small or large, as even the best of us can miss things. Please see the link below for the google form to fill out if you find any issues you want to bring to our attention. This link is also in the sourcebook PDF for your convenience. Please fill out one form for each piece of feedback you have.  This feedback period will last TWO WEEKS, after which the form will be closed, and we will move on to round two.

APPROX. MAY 26TH: ROUND TWO OF BACKER FEEDBACK
The Han Cluster Transcendence Adventure book, and Campaign Cards:
The adventure book is currently undergoing final proof editing. As soon as it's done, it and the campaign cards (Summit ally cards, Shift Intensity cards, and asset cards) will be released (hopefully shortly after the feedback period for Round One ends) to original campaign backers. A new google form will be provided and again, you'll have two weeks to let us know about any issues you might find.

APPROX. JUNE 9TH: ROUND THREE OF BACKER FEEDBACK
The Han Cluster "Core" Cards (a.k.a. ALL PDF stretch goals):
These include the vehicle cards, adversary cards, status cards, Edge cards and power cards, and will be released (to original campaign backers) after the feedback period for Round Two ends. A new google form will be provided and again, you'll have two weeks to give us any issues you might find.

APPROX. JUNE 23RD: SURVEY'S CLOSE
We will be closing the surveys, locking orders and charging credit cards for any extra add-ons, etc. in mid to late June when we anticipate the FINALIZED (v1.0) digital rewards will be available. After we close the surveys you will generally not be able to change your orders because we will be getting ready to release these FINAL digital files to ALL purchasers, including those who took add-ons during surveys, and those ordered in the pre-order store. Again, we will send an update later for more details about this a few days before we close the surveys to give you a chance to finalize everything. Either way, please don't wait! Fill out your survey as soon as possible to ensure that you get all your rewards! You can always come back and change things later before we lock them.

APPROX JUNE 30TH: ALL FINAL DIGITAL FILES ARE RELEASED AND PUT UP FOR SALE TO THE PUBLIC
Once all backers and those who ordered in the pre-order store get their final digital files, the digital products for Han Cluster will be placed up for sale publicly on Drive Thru RPG.  The pre-order store will also remain open indefinitely.

BEYOND....
After all that, we have a long wait (several months) until physical goods arrive. You will always be able to go back into pledge manager to change your address, even after we lock the orders and close the surveys. We'll update you as we go to keep you apprised of printing status, and of course, when we're ready to charge for shipping, but this gets us through the digital portion of our show. More to come!

Again, please fill out your surveys as SOON AS POSSIBLE. It only takes a couple minutes, and its very easy, but it allows us to tick a VERY important box on our end and avoids us having to chase anyone down to get them filled out later. :D

It's been a very long, hard, and exciting road to get to this moment. I just want to thank each and every one of you for making this dream possible. The Han Cluster Sci-Fi RPG crowdfunding is a huge success, and I have trouble finding the words to express what this means to me. But this is more than a passion project, it's a product I think lots of people will love and that I hope will speak to people on multiple levels in the years to come.  Now, let's get down to some details about what to expect as we move into the production and fulfillment phase!

First, BackerKit needs to transfer over the funds to us so we have the money to make the rewards (this can take up to two to three weeks).

Second, we need to collect your details so that we know how and where to deliver your rewards. We’ll send out a BackerKit survey to collect this information.

We’ll give you a heads-up before we send the survey so that you can watch for it. You don’t need to create a BackerKit account to answer your survey. The invitation email contains a unique link to your personal survey. It is important to submit your responses as quickly as you can since we need this information to process your rewards.     

If you need to change your survey responses, purchase add-on items, or update your shipping information, you can click the link in your survey email again or request your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page. (This page will only start working after we send the surveys out.)

Answering your survey helps us get your rewards out to you faster. BackerKit helps us save lots of time by streamlining the survey process, automating data organization, and providing us with pledge management software to make it easy to process your pledge reward shipments.

We'll be rolling out digital rewards as we finalize them. We will be fulfilling digital rewards through both Backerkit itself and DrivethruRPG.

Timeline: The Han Cluster Sourcebook PDF, the Archetype cards PDF, and the set of 21 campaign cards PDF, will be ready to send out as soon as the funds and final backer list is delivered. We'll have a two week feedback period (more details to come when we release the PDFs). Then we'll send out the Transcendence Adventure Book, the maps, and figure flats after that for another period of feedback. The digital unlocked stretch goals will come within a couple weeks after that.

Physical rewards won't be available for several months (we anticipate January of 2026 at this point). As a reminder we will not be collecting shipping charges from you until we are much closer to the ship date at the end of the year. Don't worry, we'll keep you updated in advance of any credit card charges as we move forward.

We will be opening a pre-order store very soon for those who missed the campaign. Keep an eye out, and tell your friends if they're interested!

For now, Boof and I deserve a bit of a rest as we wait for BackerKit to do its part, but we can't WAIT to get the your rewards into your hands and hear your gaming stories at the table!
